They are impactful members of regional cross-functional teams, including regional Commercial, Center of Real-World Evidence (CORE), Policy and Market Access and an active member \/ lead of the RVIT (Regional V&#038;I lead) for their specific indication when applicable. They engage with their network of scientific leaders in their region. This is a regionally based position (i.e. residing in one of the affiliates of the region or regional hub) in Our Company Research Laboratories Global Medical and Scientific Affairs (Research &#038; Development (R&#038;D) GMSA). <\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities and Primary Activities <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Guides country GMSA staff to execute the annual scientific &#038; medical plan for their assigned TA with a focus on the medical strategy. <\/li>\n<li>Chairs the Regional Medical Affairs Team to ensure execution of agreed medical tactics and leverage best practices. <\/li>\n<li>When applicable, be the RVIT (Regional Value and Implementation lead) for category 1 tiering (H&#038;H) or melanoma (T2) and work cross functionally with regional market access and commercial teams. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures scientific exchange is aligned with the global scientific communications platform and medical value narrative. <\/li>\n<li>Partners with regional Commercial, regional CORE, regional Policy and regional Market Access to drive development and execution of region plans and ensure strategic discussion has been made. <\/li>\n<li>Consolidates actionable medical insights from countries in their region. <\/li>\n<li>Engages with a network of contracted Scientific Leaders (SL) and other key stakeholders (therapeutic guideline committees, payers, public groups, government officials, medical societies) from their region. <\/li>\n<li>Supports, as regional TA expert, affiliate staff in engagement with their national scientific leaders. <\/li>\n<li>Organizes regional expert input events to answer Our Company\u2019s questions regarding how to implement new indications: advisory boards and expert input forums. <\/li>\n<li>Organizes regional symposia and educational meetings. <\/li>\n<li>Supports countries with the development of local data generation study concepts and protocols. <\/li>\n<li>Reviews investigator-initiated study proposals prior to headquarters submission (ex-USA). <\/li>\n<li>Manages regional programs (patient support, educational or risk management) to support appropriate and safe utilization of Our Company\u2019s medicines. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Required Qualifications, Skills &#038; Experience <\/h3>\n<p><b>Minimum : <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MD, PhD or PharmD (MD preferred) and recognized medical expertise in the therapy area. <\/li>\n<li>Five+ years\u2019 experience in country \/ region Medical Affairs. <\/li>\n<li><b>Strong prioritization and decision-making skills <\/b> <\/li>\n<li>Able to effectively collaborate with partners across divisions in a matrix environment. <\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication (written as well as oral) skills, in addition to results-oriented project management skills. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Preferred : <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scientific leadership and other key stakeholders (payers, public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations) in the assigned therapeutic area. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0648\u0642\u0639 <\/h3>\n<p>The role can be based at any of our offices located in Europe or Dubai. <\/p>\n<h3>Required Skills : <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Adaptability <\/li>\n<li>Clinical Development <\/li>\n<li>Clinical Medicine <\/li>\n<li>Communication <\/li>\n<li>Decision Making <\/li>\n<li>Hematology and Oncology <\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal Relationships <\/li>\n<li>Leadership <\/li>\n<li>Market Access <\/li>\n<li>Medical Affairs <\/li>\n<li>Results-Oriented <\/li>\n<li>Scientific Communications <\/li>\n<li>Strategic Planning <\/li>\n<li>Therapeutic Knowledge <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Preferred Skills : <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Current Employees apply <\/li>\n<li>Current Contingent Workers apply <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional Notes <\/h3>\n<p><b>Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully <\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Merck &#038; Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp &#038; Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
