This is a physician position and is responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Anesthesiology Institute- General Anesthesia specialty at CCAD. Under the supervision and guidance of a Consultant physician, this position treats patients directly and\/or may make referrals to different members of the health care professional team at CCAD.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <\/strong>
UNDER THE SUPERVISION, GUIDANCE AND APPROVAL OF A CONSULTANT STAFF:
\u2212 Monitors and provides care to patients at CCAD within the General Anesthesia specialty
\u2212 Prescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury
\u2212 Analyzes records, reports and test results to diagnose patient’s medical condition
\u2212 Interacts with patient to gather additional history and information about medical condition
\u2212 Explains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patient
\u2212 Provides specific treatments and\/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditions
\u2212 Evaluates patient and records applicable notes about patient’s condition for purposes of serving as a record of treatment and \/ or a possible referral to another member of the health care professional team
\u2212 Liaisons with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient treatment
\u2212 Performs surgical procedures and operations as appropriate
\u2212 Supplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner
\u2212 Takes part in administrative functions that ensure the continued operations of the clinical environment, such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures. Follows ethical and regulatory guidelines
\u2212 Provide hospital on-call inpatient coverage as deemed necessary
\u2212 Adheres to individual approved clinical privileges, as well as to all policies and procedures of the Physician Staff
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS <\/strong>
\u2212 For Associate Staff (Specialist) not less than 3 years clinical experience as Specialist post qualification in internationally accredited institute. UAE nationals, require not less than one (1) year experience post qualification in the specialty field.
\u2212 Demonstrated expertise in specialty practice area
\u2212 Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills with patients, staff and other physicians
\u2212 Should meet the Maintenance of Certification requirements (where applicable)
\u2212 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff
\u2212 Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data at all times
\u2212 Ability to speak and write in English is required
\u2212 Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS <\/strong>
\u2212 MD, MBBS, MBChB or DO (only if the specialization is obtained from one of the following: American Board of Medical Specialties or Certificates of Specializations of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada) or qualification from an accredited Institution and completion of specialty qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table listed in Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements 2022 #J-18808-Ljbffr<\/p>\n
