House of Shipping\u2019s commitment to their customers begins with developing an understanding of their business fundamentals. <\/p>\n<p>Currently House of Shipping is looking to identify a Junior Finance Executive for a leading shipping company . <\/p>\n<p><b>Job purpose <\/b> <\/p>\n<p>The Junior Executive \u2013 Finance is responsible for assisting in financial operations, maintaining accurate records, processing invoices, and supporting budgeting and compliance activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth execution of financial processes and contributes to the financial health of the organization by maintaining accurate financial data and assisting in audits and reporting. <\/p>\n<p><b>Main tasks and responsibilities <\/b> <\/p>\n<p><b>Financial Reporting and Documentation: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and statements. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies. <\/li>\n<li>Support financial analysis to identify trends and variances. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements. <\/li>\n<li>Assist in tracking receivables and following up on outstanding payments. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and proper documentation. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Budgeting and Forecasting Support: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the finance team in budget preparation and tracking. <\/li>\n<li>Assist in analyzing financial data to support budgetary decisions. <\/li>\n<li>Identify cost-saving opportunities in operational expenses. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Taxation and Compliance: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in preparing and filing tax documents as per local regulations. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain necessary records for audits and financial inspections. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Financial Process Optimization: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with finance teams to improve efficiency in financial transactions. <\/li>\n<li>Support automation initiatives and ERP system enhancements. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure smooth execution of day-to-day financial operations. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Education requirements: <\/b>Graduate level education in Finance &#038; Accounting or Business Administration <\/p>\n<p>Certifications preferred are CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CPA (Certified Public Accountant) <\/p>\n<p><b>Background and experience <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial Management Expertise: 1 \u2013 3 years of experience of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management principles. <\/li>\n<li>Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting standards (IFRS\/GAAP), ledger management, and reconciliation processes. <\/li>\n<li>Regulatory Compliance: Basic understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate compliance policies. <\/li>\n<li>ERP and Financial Systems: Experience with financial management software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) for recording and tracking financial transactions. <\/li>\n<li>Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Exposure to vendor payments, invoice processing, and collections. <\/li>\n<li>Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess financial data, identify discrepancies, and propose corrective actions. <\/li>\n<li>Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in financial transactions and documentation. <\/li>\n<li>Communication and Collaboration: Experience working with finance teams, auditors, and external stakeholders. <\/li>\n<li>Industry Exposure: Preferred experience in finance and accounting within corporate settings, auditing firms, or financial institutions. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Workplace: #Linkdin-onsite <\/p>\n<h3>How to apply <\/h3>\n<p>Please fill out the application form below and share your cover letter and CV. <\/p>\n<h3>Preferences <\/h3>\n<h3>Attach your CV* <\/h3>\n<h6>Please upload your resume in PDF (maximum file size: 1 MB). <\/h6>\n<p>I accept to be contacted by House of Shipping in relation to my application.* <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTreating all the employees equally is the most impressive thing you can get from a company.
