<\/strong>The Road Freight Manager is responsible for developing and growing the road freight forwarding business in support of the company\u2019s business and growth plans. Ensuring the timely and e\ufb03cient delivery of goods and products to customers. Developing and implementing strategies to reduce costs, improve e\ufb03ciency and increase customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>\u2022 Oversee and manage the end-to-end road freight operations, including booking, documentation, customs clearance, tracking, and delivery.
\u2022 Coordinate with internal teams, such as sales, customer service, and warehouse, to ensure smooth work\ufb02ow and timely execution of airfreight processes.
\u2022 Take full ownership of and drive all our road freight activities in UAE.
\u2022 Develop plans to grow the road freight business in UAE in a pro\ufb01table manner and constantly monitor progress.
\u2022 Oversee, develop and manage all road freight operations.
\u2022 Identifying new opportunities to grow and expand the customer base, actively engage with customers to develop our business.
\u2022 Provides consistent customer experience to carrier & shippers \u2013 considering local requirements as needed.
\u2022 Actively manage key stakeholders on various levels \u2013 Country Management, regional management, own team, shippers & carriers to drive the success.
\u2022 Manage country teams who perform day-to-day responsibilities such as customer service, incident management or carrier review meetings.
\u2022 Analyze daily, weekly and monthly development of key KPIs.
\u2022 Establish regular transporter meetings and ensure that these are conducted for all key carriers.
\u2022 Ensure compliance with company\/ local statutory obligations and legislation related to safety, health, security, environment & quality.
\u2022 Developing and implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve service quality.
\u2022 Managing budgets for transportation operations, including negotiating contracts with suppliers and rebates.
\u2022 To negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers, securing the best value for the company.
\u2022 Monitoring and evaluating transporter performance and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to transportation.
\u2022 Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
\u2022 Monitoring Transporters\u2019 driver performance and ensuring that they are following safe driving practices.
\u2022 Analyzing road freight data and developing reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related \ufb01eld. An advanced degree is a plus.
\u2022 At least 10 years of experience in road freight operations, preferably in a managerial role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
\u2022 Proven experience in road freight operations management, preferably in a leadership role.
\u2022 Strong knowledge of international airfreight regulations, customs procedures, and industry best practices.
\u2022 Pro\ufb01ciency in English (written and verbal). Additional languages may be advantageous.
