Functions as a primary source for assistance and guidance on clinical issues to Nursing Staff. Coordinates the day-to-day running of the unit, ensuring that patients are discharged on time and coordinates patient admissions from other departments under the guidance of the line manager. <\/p>\n<h3>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0633\u0624\u0648\u0644\u064a\u0627\u062a <\/h3>\n<p><strong>General: <\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides age-specific patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process: <\/li>\n<li>Performs patient assessment using appropriate, problem-focused, and age-specific assessment techniques. <\/li>\n<li>Performs continual critical care assessment of patient and family\u2019s physical and psychological needs. <\/li>\n<li>Involves the patient, significant others, and healthcare providers in the plan of care when appropriate. <\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient care. <\/li>\n<li>Coordinates and plans critical care\/clinical pathway, and prioritizes care based on individual needs. Revises the care plan as necessary. <\/li>\n<li>Initiates appropriate transfer plan. <\/li>\n<li>Recognizes subtle cues to anticipate potential problems. <\/li>\n<li>Documents all relevant data in the medical record according to hospital\/departmental standards. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures availability and maintenance of supplies and equipment needed for the unit and patient care. <\/li>\n<li>Performs clerical duties when needed. <\/li>\n<li>Assumes responsibility for meeting Joint Commission International (JCI) required mandatory education (e.g., fire, safety, infection control, etc.). <\/li>\n<li>Participates in staff meetings and unit committees\/projects. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Participates in developing and achieving unit goals. <\/p>\n<p>Performs additional duties when required. <\/p>\n<p>Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff. <\/p>\n<p>Performs safe handling and administering of Narcotic\/Controlled and Semi-Controlled Drugs and documentation as directed by policies and procedures. <\/p>\n<p>Ensures completion of both core and unit-specific competencies upon joining, annually thereafter, or whenever necessitated by new services, specialized equipment, or updated technology. <\/p>\n<p>Maintains clinical and professional competency based on the latest research and established standards of practice. <\/p>\n<p>Participates in unit-based Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities (data collection, CQI teams, incident reporting, customer complaint reporting, medication error reporting, etc.). <\/p>\n<p>Participates in ongoing educational activities. <\/p>\n<p>Maintains mandatory educational requirements, including Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI). <\/p>\n<h3>Operational Management: <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists staff nurses and care assistants in planning, implementing, and evaluating direct patient care. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures accurate nursing documentation is maintained according to hospital policy and procedures. <\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. <\/li>\n<li>Promotes incident, customer complaint, and patient satisfaction survey reporting to improve patient and family care. <\/li>\n<li>Assists in creating a safe and friendly environment for all patients, their families, and other staff members. <\/li>\n<li>Maintains effective communication between patients, nurses, and physicians regarding follow-up care\/instructions. <\/li>\n<li>Maintains updated service-specific competencies according to guidelines. <\/li>\n<li>Provides supervision and advice to nursing staff regarding patients\u2019 inquiries. <\/li>\n<li>Participates in and maintains clinic-specific Key Performance Indicator (KPI) audits and other data including nursing documentation, closing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) on time, checking the Press Ganey, and addressing any patient complaints. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures nursing pre-screening is done 48 hours before any appointment. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures that the quality checklist is met at all times. For any deficiencies, an action plan is put in place and followed. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures the monthly submission of the environmental rounds audit report and follow-up on deficiencies. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures clinic stock level is within the required Par level and works with Materials Management to decrease non-moving and slow-moving items. <\/li>\n<li>Provides supervision and advice to Patient Relations Executive staff regarding patient inquiries. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures closure of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) requests accurately within the allotted time frame. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures all items in the Quality Round are met and places an action plan for those not met. <\/li>\n<li>Prepares the nursing clinical slides and includes them in the monthly Quality Improvement (QI) meeting. <\/li>\n<li>Follows up on all approved and not utilized tests and ensures they are scheduled. <\/li>\n<li>Follows up with the insurance coordinator on all pending approvals and ensures all patients are updated on the status. <\/li>\n<li>Coordinates with the Operating Room (OR) coordinator and the patient on operations to be scheduled as applicable. <\/li>\n<li>Communicates with Patient Business Services and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) on operations that need further discounts. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures no walkouts take place in the clinic. <\/li>\n<li>Closes all safe points on time and ensures they are addressed; root cause analysis is conducted. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures all clinical KPIs are placed monthly on the Patient Safety Data Board. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures Patient Tracker is updated. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures staff follow the dress code. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Unit Specific: <\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs nursing interventions\/procedures per established standards of care (Competency List \u201cGreen Book\u201d) including assistance with Ultrasound-Guided Core Biopsy, Stereotactic Biopsy, and Breast Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in nursing (minimum of three years full-time) or Degree in Nursing (minimum two years) with registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, or Australia. <\/li>\n<li>UAE nationals graduating from UAE or non-UAE universities are exempted from experience and clinical training requirements.
