The post holder is expected to be an example of clinical excellence within the Division and contributes to the supervision and training of junior medical staff. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Responsibilities (continued) <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the supervision of the Consultant Physician, diagnoses and treats patients according to established standards of best practice for the post holder\u2019s specialty. The Specialist\u2019s clinical duties include but are not limited to the following: assists in supervising junior medical staff and jointly assumes responsibility for the care they provide; complies with hospital policies regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow up practices; utilizes resources appropriately; leads ward rounds; reassesses inpatients and outpatients regularly; documents clinical information clearly and timely; reviews investigation results and adjusts treatment as required; liaises with other medical specialties and support services; participates in multi-disciplinary meetings to plan safe and holistic care; ensures preparation for procedures including informed consent;
