Brief Position Summary:
\u2022 To ensure the timely production of all publications responsible.
\u2022 To ensure a high quality of editorial content.
\u2022 Abide by and implement Editorial strategies as communicated by the Group Editorial Director.
\u2022 To work in line with the strategic vision of the company, maintaining all company policies and procedures.
\u2022 To continually liaise with all supporting functions ensuring all publication\u2019s targets are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
\u2022 Actively and successfully manage the title\u2019s publications process, ensuring that no delays are incurred.
\u2022 Consistent accurate and timely completion and submission of all editorial content under the 60\/30\/10 system.
\u2022 To direct and lead in the positioning of the publications.
\u2022 Ensure that all publications are produced within the Company\u2019s editorial guidelines.
\u2022 Consistent achievement of individual key performance targets.
\u2022 Understand the marketplace, including all competitors to identify opportunities for future growth.
\u2022 Analysing and reporting competitor activities and initiatives.
\u2022 Plan and research for existing and new magazine launches, events and projects.
\u2022 Form relationships with the research companies within the publication sectors.
\u2022 The production and maintenance of the Annual Editorial Calendar.
\u2022 Travel to relevant conferences to market your publication and identify editorial content.
\u2022 Ensure that each publication as at least one VIP Interview per month.
\u2022 Actively seek new trade associations and professional bodies.
\u2022 The on going active management of the editorial committee for each title.
\u2022 Develop and deliver effective quarterly \u201clandmark issues\u201d for each publication.
\u2022 Develop and deliver a comprehensive online and social media strategy in line with the Group Editorial Director\u2019s brief.
\u2022 Facilitate the capture of data for <\/p>\n
\u2022 A minimum of 2-3 years experience of \u201con the job\u201d experience is essential.
\u2022 Qualifications in journalism and editorial are desirable but not essential.
\u2022 Proven experience in editorial within the Middle East or to financial institutions.
\u2022 Proven ability to consistently make decisions about the editorial content and direction of publications and websites.
\u2022 Proven ability to be able to conduct a strong and compelling interview
\u2022 Proven ability develop new clients and generate and key accounts
\u2022 Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed KPI target
\u2022 Excellent written and oral English skills
\u2022 Good time management
\u2022 High level of concentration and attention to detail
\u2022 Energetic, enthusiastic and determined
\u2022 Excellent negotiator
