{"id":52351,"date":"2025-11-15T12:53:05","date_gmt":"2025-11-15T08:53:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/herecareers.com\/job\/satellite-operations-software-engineer\/"},"modified":"2025-11-15T12:53:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T08:53:07","slug":"satellite-operations-software-engineer","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/herecareers.com\/ar\/job\/satellite-operations-software-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"Satellite Operations Software Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>411_2613387<\/p>\n<p><p><b>Wanna join the adventure? <\/b> <\/p>\n<p>As a <b>Satellite Operations Software Engineer <\/b>, you will be a key contributor to the development, automation, and operation of Orbitworks\u2019 satellite programs. <\/p>\n<p>This is a hands-on satellite operations role combined with software development and systems engineering to ensure mission success from design to orbit. <\/p>\n<p>You will work across the full stack software, hardware, and operational interfaces to deliver robust, scalable solutions that support satellite commissioning, nominal operations, and anomaly resolution. <\/p>\n<h3>About This Role: <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute satellite operations, including participating in the on-call rotation as Satellite Controller\/Flight Director. <\/li>\n<li>Configure and set up tools for programs, including procedures, dashboards, subschedules, resolvers, and auto-pilot plans. <\/li>\n<li>Configure systems for commissioning and nominal operations. <\/li>\n<li>Handle anomalies and maintain overall space infrastructure performance. <\/li>\n<li>Develop automation for both ground and space-based operations. <\/li>\n<li>Script mission performance and cockpit configurations, preferably in Python. <\/li>\n<li>Validate and verify tools used in satellite operations. <\/li>\n<li>Support test campaigns prior to and during launch. <\/li>\n<li>Apply the \u201cTest as We Fly\u201d methodology for all mission-critical systems. <\/li>\n<li>Understand customer CONOPS for operational planning and execution. <\/li>\n<li>Interface with customers prior to and during mission deployment. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Must Haves: <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong background in satellite operations and complex systems management. <\/li>\n<li>Willingness to train as a Satellite Controller\/Flight Director, including commissioning and on-call rotation. <\/li>\n<li>Proven software development experience with strong automation skills. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to work across full hardware\/software stack (ground-based, space-based, and interface systems). <\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Python and Git. <\/li>\n<li>Pragmatic mindset with ability to balance short- and long-term operational goals. <\/li>\n<li>High accountability, autonomy, and ownership in delivering results. <\/li>\n<li>Openness to learning and working outside comfort zones in a fast-paced environment. <\/li>\n<li>Scripting experience for automation and mission operations. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Nice to Haves: <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with Airbus satellite platforms (Arrow-150 bus) in avionics, ADCS, or propulsion. <\/li>\n<li>Experience with LEO satellite operations and constellation management. <\/li>\n<li>Experience interacting with and managing customers. <\/li>\n<li>Background in satellite testing, AIT, validation and verification of complex systems. <\/li>\n<li>Arabic language skills or willingness to learn. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Orbitworks&#8217; mission is to make space simple for organizations that want to deploy physical and virtual missions to space.
