The Resident Engineer will be required to:
\u2022 Lead and supervise a team of Engineers (Inspectors) and contractor within contract period
\u2022 Implement methods for dispute avoidance and resolution study
\u2022 Proactive acumen and an ability to manage multiple sites
\u2022 Review contractor technical submittals, ensuring compliance with project specification.
\u2022 Respond to client \/ contractor quires and provide technical inputs related to mechanical discipline as needed.
\u2022 Effectively evaluate technical proposals and its constructability, technology deployment, solving the technical site problems that may arise during construction.
\u2022 Evaluate and monitor the progress of the Works in accordance with the submitted Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) along with the Cost Breakdown Structure and Resources Breakdown Structure.
\u2022 Oversee all environmental protection aspects of the construction and operation of similar size sewerage projects.
\u2022 Ensure Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control.
\u2022 Review and justify the material submissions, analyse laboratory and technical reports, carry out acceptance sampling plans, testing and quality measures, ensuring the compliance with the project\u2019s specifications.
\u2022 Prepare QC forms and check lists, comply with Project QA\/QC plans and write clear, brief and accurate technical reports.
\u2022 Prepare construction project monthly valuation.
\u2022 Review project progress against the base line program and provide update to the project planner \/ quantity surveyor as required
\u2022 Participate in assessing and evaluating Contractor\u2019s Claims, <\/p>\n
\u2022 15+ work experience ideally with an engineering consultancy
\u2022 Experience working on water infrastructure projects ,including water pumping system, piping and pipelines system , Tanks, HVAC, Firefighting and Hypo Chlorination systems.
\u2022 Developed interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to interact effectively with multicultural teams.
\u2022 Ability to work effectively and diligently as an individual and team member to resolve complex faults on critical equipment.
\u2022 Ability to prepare and present technical and non-technical documentation.
\u2022 Proven ability to perform in a key technical leadership role, good written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
\u2022 Previous experience with consultancy firms holding the same Resident Engineer role.<\/p>\n
