UAE-based ride-hailing company Zed has expanded its platform to include more than 10,700 vehicles following new partnerships with Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) and National Taxi, the company announced on Thursday. The move positions Zed as the operator of Dubai\u2019s second-largest taxi fleet, now hosting over 80 per cent of the city\u2019s taxis. <\/p>\n
The integration brings together fleets from Dubai\u2019s three largest taxi operators, including Kabi by Al Ghurair, significantly boosting Zed\u2019s presence in the emirate\u2019s competitive ride-hailing market. The company said the expansion will improve vehicle availability, reduce cancellations, and shorten waiting times for riders. <\/p>\n

Zed\u2019s app offers features such as guaranteed on-time pickups for pre-scheduled premium rides. The company also plans to roll out new services, including loyalty rewards, digital wallets, and lifestyle-focused partnerships, to enhance customer engagement. <\/p>\n
The expansion aligns with Dubai\u2019s broader mobility ambitions under the Smart City 2025 strategy, which aims to shift 80 per cent of taxi bookings to digital platforms. The initiative also encourages the integration of electric and hybrid taxis into fleets, supporting the emirate\u2019s long-term sustainability and clean transport goals. <\/p>\n
By consolidating a significant share of Dubai\u2019s taxi operators, Zed is positioning itself as a key player in the city\u2019s evolving transport sector.
