The <b>Ombudsman<\/b> partners with advocacy groups, other local and State Ombudsman, and providers while acting as a resource to assist members whose issues may exceed <a href=\"https:\/\/himalayas.app\/companies\/mtm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MTM<\/a> contract requirements.<\/p>\n<p><b>This role must reside in TX. Travel within the State is required.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>What you\u2019ll do:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and report systematic issues that leads to complaints and work to develop a solution<\/li>\n<li>Know and drive processes, based on the contract requirements, partnering with market leadership<\/li>\n<li>Attend meetings with advocacy groups on behalf of <a href=\"https:\/\/himalayas.app\/companies\/mtm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MTM<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Identify special advocacy groups and tribal organizations and provide company related educate on the benefits of a partnership<\/li>\n<li>Handle specialized trips and member interactions and escalation<\/li>\n<li>Determine which groups will be best utilized within the organization based on assigned market needs<\/li>\n<li>Determine outreach plan that their assigned market needs<\/li>\n<li>Host and manage Member Advisory Committee (MAC) meetings<\/li>\n<li>Participate in Transportation Advisory Committees (TACs) meetings<\/li>\n<li>Create market specific resources and presentations, based on the needs of the market<\/li>\n<li>Participate in ride along with the member to determine appropriate service was provided<\/li>\n<li>Investigate and document all reported issues, providing thorough and timely follow up<\/li>\n<li>Analyze data, and present information to improve member experience<\/li>\n<li>Develop and Implement processes to improve member experience in coordination with on site and corporate stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Document escalations and action plans in the appropriate intake systems<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an impacted member list and provide follow ups to ensure the members got to and from their appointments safely and on time<\/li>\n<li>Educate and provide members information on their rights<\/li>\n<li>Triage complaints submitted via fax, voice mail or email<\/li>\n<li>Provide follow up contact to recipients per their request in regards to complaint resolution<\/li>\n<li>Use complaint data to recommend education and process improvement<\/li>\n<li>Proofread any data submitted to the state for escalated issues<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and report on members access to <a href=\"https:\/\/himalayas.app\/companies\/mtm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MTM<\/a> as it relates to those with disabilities, language barriers and technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What you\u2019ll need: <\/h3>\n<h3><i>Experience, Education &amp; Certifications:<\/i><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED<\/li>\n<li>2+ years\u2019 experience in a role within Quality Management, Health Care, Social Work or member advocacy<\/li>\n<li>2 + years\u2019 experience in Customer Service<\/li>\n<li>Experience delivering presentations both in person and virtually<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><i>Skills:<\/i><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on grammar and spelling<\/li>\n<li>A working knowledge of contracts<\/li>\n<li>Ability to tactfully question and obtain information<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner<\/li>\n<li>Ability to accomplish duties\/tasks with little direct supervision<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Excellent presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate with all levels of employees as well as external customers<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build relationships<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use basic office equipment<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Even better if you have&#8230;<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Some college preferred<\/li>\n<li>Ombudsman experience or certification, strongly preferred (CO-OP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What\u2019s in it for you: <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Health and Life Insurance Plans<\/li>\n<li>Dental and Vision Plans<\/li>\n<li>401(k) with a company match<\/li>\n<li>Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay<\/li>\n<li>Maternity\/Paternity Leave<\/li>\n<li>Casual Dress Environment<\/li>\n<li>Tuition Reimbursement<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/himalayas.app\/companies\/mtm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MTM<\/a> Perks Discount Program <\/li>\n<li>Leadership Mentoring Opportunities <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Salary Min: $55,920<\/h3>\n<h3>Salary Max: $60,000<\/h3>\n<p><i>This information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data.
