You&#8217;ll manage a small team of full-stack engineers while staying hands-on with the codebase\u2014roughly an even split between leadership and individual contribution. This role reports directly to both our CTO and CEO.<\/p>\n<p>Your work will focus on data engineering workloads, both AI-powered and human-powered, and the analytics and reporting platform. As we\u2019re building an agentic data system, we expect you to bring experience shipping production systems with modern AI codegen tools (Claude Code, Codex CLI, or similar). Team growth is on the horizon\u2014you may be building out additional headcount within 6 months.<\/p>\n<h2>What You\u2019ll Do<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Manage, mentor, and grow<\/strong>&nbsp;a team of 3-6 software engineers (mostly full-stack)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Own<\/strong>&nbsp;team delivery, velocity, and technical quality<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Partner<\/strong>&nbsp;with CTO and CEO on roadmap, prioritization, and resourcing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Build hiring pipelines<\/strong>&nbsp;as the team scales<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ensuring<strong>&nbsp;systems of record&nbsp;<\/strong>(project tracking, code quality) continuously up-to-date<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Write and review production<\/strong>&nbsp;(currently TypeScript and Python, depending on product area), using&nbsp;<strong>spec- and test-driven development<\/strong>&nbsp;practices<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Architect<\/strong>&nbsp;data engineering pipelines that ingest, clean, and transform customer data<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>Integrate AI codegen tools<\/strong>&nbsp;into team workflows and production systems<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Contribute to our&nbsp;<strong>agentic data cleaning and data layering features&nbsp;<\/strong>as they evolve<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u062a\u0637\u0644\u0628\u0627\u062a<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>7+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on data engineering<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Prior experience managing engineers (team lead, EM, or equivalent)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong product awareness and demonstrated work around customer-centricity<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Production experience with public-cloud data services (AWS, Snowflake) or equivalent<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Hands-on experience using CLI-forward AI codegen agents (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Aider, or similar) in production workflows<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong opinions on how to integrate AI tooling into engineering team practices<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Availability during US Eastern working hours<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Nice to Have<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Experience building analytics or BI platforms<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>0\u21921 Experience: Evidence of manifesting ideas into product<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Background in agentic AI systems or LLM-powered automation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Familiarity with data quality, transformation, or semantic layer tools<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Startup experience (Series A\u2013B stage)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Compliance Background: SOC 2, audit trail requirements, or regulatory data handling<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What Makes This Role Special<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ll be leading a team that supports how AI transforms enterprise data workflows.
