We are welcoming applications from experienced Head of Individuals &#038; Societies, with an opportunity available for August 2026. <\/p>\n<h3>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0633\u0624\u0648\u0644\u064a\u0627\u062a <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead, develop, and inspire the I&#038;S department to deliver high-quality, inquiry-based learning that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine love of mathematics. <\/li>\n<li>Oversee the planning and delivery of a coherent, vertically and horizontally aligned I&#038;S curriculum in line with IB philosophy and assessment frameworks. <\/li>\n<li>Create and sustain a positive, inclusive departmental culture that supports high expectations, collaboration, and continuous improvement. <\/li>\n<li>Support and coach teachers within the department through mentoring, lesson observations, and professional dialogue to enhance teaching and learning outcomes. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective differentiation and inclusive practice across the department to meet the needs of all learners, including EAL, gifted students, and those requiring additional support. <\/li>\n<li>Lead the effective use of assessment data to monitor progress, inform intervention strategies, and drive improved student outcomes. <\/li>\n<li>Promote the purposeful integration of technology and innovative pedagogical approaches to enhance engagement and deepen mathematical understanding. <\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-curricular teams to support whole-school initiatives, curriculum development, and strategic priorities. <\/li>\n<li>Engage proactively with parents and the wider school community regarding curriculum, progress, and departmental initiatives. <\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, events, and academic enrichment opportunities. <\/li>\n<li>Model and uphold GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile, fostering professional growth, reflective practice, and a culture of lifelong learning. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications &#038; Skills <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in I&#038;S specialization. <\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 3\u20135 years\u2019 successful experience teaching Secondary Individuals &#038; Societies, with evidence of strong student outcomes and effective classroom practice. <\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience in, or readiness to step into, curriculum and departmental leadership, including supporting colleagues, contributing to curriculum planning, and driving improvement. <\/li>\n<li>Experience teaching within an IB framework (MYP and\/or DP) is preferred, though strong candidates from other international or national curricula will be considered. <\/li>\n<li>A proven passion for high-quality, inquiry-based I&#038;S teaching, with the ability to inspire both students and colleagues. <\/li>\n<li>Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead collaboratively and build positive relationships across the school community. <\/li>\n<li>The vision, energy, and commitment to contribute to the continued success of a leading flagship GEMS school, supporting high standards and a diverse international student body. <\/li>\n<li>A commitment to ongoing professional learning, reflective practice, and contributing to a forward-thinking, collaborative school culture. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What we offer <\/h3>\n<p>All positions attract an excellent remuneration package, including competitive tax-free salary, individual fully furnished accommodation, free schooling for 1 child, private medical insurance, annual airfares to country of residence and end of Service Gratuity. <\/p>\n<p>GEMS Teachers also have free access to our loyalty app GEMS rewards  which provides significant savings on day-to-day life in the UAE.
