Ideal candidates will demonstrate a successful broking background in dry cargo ship broking. You will be personable, tenacious and a natural networker, having a proactive approach to generating leads and securing new business. <\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities &#038; Competencies <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote FIS as a company, providing market intelligence and analysis to clients. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain and enhance existing client relationships, making regular contact and tracking daily trading activities. <\/li>\n<li>Drive revenue and develop and enhance client base. <\/li>\n<li>Understand the team\u2019s business strategy and identify new business opportunities relating to trends, dry cargo markets and clients. <\/li>\n<li>Undertake market analysis, providing market insight and trade ideas to clients. <\/li>\n<li>Responsible for daily price discovery, dissemination and matching. <\/li>\n<li>Create and write daily market reports as required. <\/li>\n<li>Identify and introduce new clients to the market and maintain professional relationships. <\/li>\n<li>Perform any other reasonable duties the company may require. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Risk Related Responsibilities <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with FIS company policies. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure full awareness of and adhere to internal policies that relate to the role or any relevant other activities. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Training <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Seek regular feedback from Desk Head to ensure role requirements are met. <\/li>\n<li>Complete any mandatory training required by the company and required deadlines. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain own Continued Professional Development (CPD). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Key Competencies \/ Skills <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess knowledge of shipping industry; sound knowledge of dry cargo markets as well as technical aspects of broking \u2013 preferred. <\/li>\n<li>Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies or related degree \u2013 preferred. <\/li>\n<li>Strong client focus; personable and engaging building relationships and networks wherever possible \u2013 essential. <\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues \u2013 essential. <\/li>\n<li>Tenacious and thrives in a pressurised environment \u2013 essential. <\/li>\n<li>Team orientated; works well with others and diverse groups \/ personalities \u2013 essential. <\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail; strong analytical and numeracy skills \u2013 essential. <\/li>\n<li>Exhibit professional and ethical conduct at all times, establishing and developing all business relationships (internal and external stakeholders) based on respect, integrity &#038;
