{"id":80767,"date":"2026-04-13T17:47:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T13:47:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/herecareers.com\/job\/head-of-primary-august-2026\/"},"modified":"2026-04-13T17:47:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T13:47:14","slug":"head-of-primary-august-2026","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/herecareers.com\/ar\/job\/head-of-primary-august-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Head of Primary-August 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>411_3311914<\/p>\n<p><h3>Key Purpose <\/h3>\n<p>The post holder will lead, manage, and be accountable for tracking progress, considering curriculum planning, supporting the Behaviour for Learning Policy and speaking with parents to promote the fulfilment of the school\u2019s vision. <\/p>\n<h3>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0633\u0645\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0648\u0638\u064a\u0641\u064a <\/h3>\n<p>As a member of the Extended Leadership Team, the post holder will be expected: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to articulate a vision for their Key Stage in the context of the school\u2019s ethos and vision <\/li>\n<li>to lead, manage, co\u2011ordinate, maintain, develop, monitor and evaluate the progress made for children within their Key Stage <\/li>\n<li>to make a full contribution to the processes of planning, resource management, policy development and implementation across the school through the effective leadership and management of their specific Key Stage <\/li>\n<li>to make a full contribution to ensuring high expectations and standards in all aspects of school life <\/li>\n<li>to work flexibly in supporting the day\u2011to\u2011day organisation and management of the school <\/li>\n<li>to be accountable to the relevant Senior Leader and ultimately the Principal\/CEO <\/li>\n<li>to contribute to the school\u2019s Performance Development Programme where appropriate <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Aspects of the Role of Assistant Head Teacher <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Promoting and ensuring student development, progress and well being <\/li>\n<li>Leading teaching and learning and managing policy within the context of the Year group <\/li>\n<li>Leading and managing people and teams <\/li>\n<li>Managing resources <\/li>\n<li>Promoting and representing the Key Stage <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Promoting and Ensuring High Performance Learning at WSD <\/h3>\n<p>WSD is committed to providing a world\u2011class education to its students and has adopted the High\u2011Performance Learning framework. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The leadership of staff ensures the promotion of the High\u2011performance philosophy and framework as an attainable target for everyone. <\/li>\n<li>Encouraging a teacher culture and performance (attitudes &#038; practices). <\/li>\n<li>Improving learner outcomes (ACPs, VAAs, attainments) <\/li>\n<li>Supporting the strategic programme of PD. <\/li>\n<li>Promoting and fostering a professional community of practice amongst teachers. <\/li>\n<li>Supporting the formal HPL accreditation process, confirming compliance with the HPL World Class School standards. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Positive Climate for Learning <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Support transition arrangements through the school. <\/li>\n<li>Commitment to equal opportunities and student entitlement. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure the school code of conduct and dress code are adhered to. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain good behaviour in classrooms and around the school. <\/li>\n<li>Provide Key Stage structures to promote positive behaviour and manage disciplinary matters in liaison with the Student Welfare and House Team. <\/li>\n<li>Set appropriate progress targets for the Key Stage with the Head of School. <\/li>\n<li>Analyse and forecast trends (attendance, attainment, assessment, marking) to identify improvement opportunities with the Head of School. <\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the ELT and SLT for the referral and review of individual cases. <\/li>\n<li>Foster a positive ethos reflecting high achievement, excellent behaviour, an effective learning climate, good relationships, and equality of opportunity for all. <\/li>\n<li>Include student views in the evaluation of assessments and attainment. <\/li>\n<li>Observe and participate in Key Stage activities. <\/li>\n<li>Promote student engagement in enrichment activities with the Student Welfare and House Team. <\/li>\n<li>Develop proactive relationships with external agencies. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Skills <\/h3>\n<p>An excellent team player within the department and across phases. Should have experience heading part of the Primary school\/leader or supervisor for a minimum of 3 years. Have a clear understanding of the DSIB framework and inspection requirements. Capacity to innovate with new educational trends for young learners. Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent command of English (spoken and written). Well\u2011versed to lead on Professional Development for staff.
