Technical <\/b>, a strategic leadership role responsible for the full governance, direction, and performance of the design function across a portfolio of large-scale developments. <\/p>\n<p>This role sits at executive level and will drive design excellence, commercial performance, innovation, compliance, and cross-functional integration from concept through construction and project handover. <\/p>\n<p>The VP will lead multidisciplinary technical teams, oversee international design consultants, and ensure world-class delivery aligned with corporate objectives and board-level expectations. <\/p>\n<p>The Vice President \u2013 Design &#038; Technical will: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide strategic leadership for all design and technical operations <\/li>\n<li>Establish governance frameworks and enforce Design Management Processes (DMP) <\/li>\n<li>Oversee consultant procurement, performance, and commercial management <\/li>\n<li>Drive value engineering, cost optimisation, and constructability strategies <\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely project delivery in alignment with executive approvals <\/li>\n<li>Serve as a key advisor to the Chairman, Managing Director, and VP Projects <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Core Responsibilities <\/h3>\n<h3>Strategic Design Leadership <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Define and implement the organisation\u2019s design vision, standards, and technical strategy <\/li>\n<li>Oversee development of Project Briefs and secure executive-level approvals <\/li>\n<li>Establish professional services procurement strategies for all projects <\/li>\n<li>Lead consultant selection, negotiation, contracting, and fee evaluation <\/li>\n<li>Ensure alignment of design objectives with commercial and brand strategy <\/li>\n<li>Champion innovation, sustainability, and efficiency across all developments <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Executive Oversight of Project Delivery <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee preparation and approval of Project Design Management Plans (PDMP) <\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with scope, timelines, quality standards, and cost parameters <\/li>\n<li>Monitor variation orders, change management processes, and risk mitigation <\/li>\n<li>Review and endorse major design submissions and technical decisions <\/li>\n<li>Lead Design Stage Gateway approvals with senior leadership <\/li>\n<li>Oversee tender documentation strategy and management <\/li>\n<li>Drive value engineering initiatives throughout the project lifecycle <\/li>\n<li>Ensure constructability optimisation and cost-efficiency measures <\/li>\n<li>Partner with Commercial and QS teams to validate cost estimates at each design stage <\/li>\n<li>Oversee consultant and contractor progress validation for payments <\/li>\n<li>Manage professional fee evaluations and negotiations <\/li>\n<li>Ensure financial discipline within the design and technical function <\/li>\n<li>Monitor scope changes and ensure proper executive approvals <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Cross-Functional Executive Integration <\/h3>\n<p>Ensure the design function provides strategic support to: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marketing (brand alignment, visual materials, show units) <\/li>\n<li>Commercial (tender and procurement documentation) <\/li>\n<li>Hospitality (operational design compliance) <\/li>\n<li>Projects (construction-stage technical governance, mockups, RFIs) <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Act as the primary technical advisor to the Project VP and executive leadership during construction phases. <\/p>\n<h3>Organisational Leadership &#038; Capability Building <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish, structure, and scale the Design &#038; Technical Department <\/li>\n<li>Define roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics <\/li>\n<li>Lead recruitment strategy in collaboration with HR <\/li>\n<li>Implement leadership development and succession planning initiatives <\/li>\n<li>Conduct executive-level performance reviews and goal setting <\/li>\n<li>Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and innovation <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Compliance, Governance &#038; Quality Assurance <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure strict adherence to DMP, HSE policies, and corporate governance standards <\/li>\n<li>Oversee authority approvals and regulatory compliance processes <\/li>\n<li>Ensure robust documentation, reporting systems, and digital tracking tools <\/li>\n<li>Coordinate closely with commissioning teams to ensure world-class project handover <\/li>\n<li>Maintain real-time transparency of technical performance metrics <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Stakeholder &#038;
