The school will expand to include Year 9 in September 2026, with a clear strategic plan to grow through to Year 13. This state\u2011of\u2011the\u2011art facility will further enhance the high\u2011quality learning environment and opportunities available to students. <\/p>\n<p>Due to the promotion of the current postholder, the school is seeking a dynamic and passionate Assistant Headteacher \u2013 Learning and Teaching to join the leadership team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a high\u2011performing school and contribute to the continued development of the #RoyalStandard. <\/p>\n<h3>Job Purpose <\/h3>\n<p>To lead learning, teaching and professional development across all phases of the school, building on the strong practice and established coaching culture already in place. The role includes a teaching commitment as either a subject specialist or primary specialist, modelling high\u2011quality teaching that leads to exceptional outcomes for students. <\/p>\n<h3>Key responsibilities <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Model outstanding classroom practice and support colleagues in delivering consistently high\u2011quality teaching across both Primary and Secondary. <\/li>\n<li>Lead the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning, ensuring consistency and addressing areas for improvement quickly. <\/li>\n<li>Oversee the coaching programme and professional development systems, ensuring impact across the school. <\/li>\n<li>Play a key role in self\u2011evaluation and school improvement planning using a wide range of evidence to inform decisions. <\/li>\n<li>Strengthen a culture of collaboration, professional dialogue and research\u2011informed professional development. <\/li>\n<li>Support the design and evaluation of effective performance management systems for all staff. <\/li>\n<li>Lead strategic teaching initiatives across the school. <\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a reflective, solution\u2011focused leadership approach with a commitment to continuous improvement. <\/li>\n<li>Build strong relationships with colleagues, students and parents through excellent communication and interpersonal skills. <\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the wider life of the school through events, extracurricular activities and community engagement. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding and student wellbeing. <\/li>\n<li>Continue personal professional development as a senior leader. <\/li>\n<li>Carry out other reasonable duties as directed by the school leadership. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications and Skills <\/h3>\n<p>The successful applicant will be an experienced UK\u2011qualified teacher (BEd, PGCE or PGDE) with a proven track record of impact in leading teaching and learning.
