This is a rare opportunity to shape the academic direction, research culture, and student experience of one of the region\u2019s most established international universities. <\/p>\n<p>As the most senior academic on campus, the Deputy Provost will play a central role in delivering the University\u2019s global strategy in the UAE. Reporting to Professor Dame Heather McGregor, Provost and Head of Heriot-Watt Dubai, the role encompasses leadership of teaching, learning, and research; strategic planning; external engagement; and operational oversight. <\/p>\n<h3>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0647\u0627\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0633\u0627\u0633\u064a\u0629 <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead in\u2011country academic activities, deputise for the Provost <\/li>\n<li>Drive growth in externally funded research <\/li>\n<li>Strengthen research student numbers <\/li>\n<li>Develop partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions <\/li>\n<li>Ensure an outstanding student experience aligned with global Heriot-Watt standards <\/li>\n<li>Oversee quality assurance processes <\/li>\n<li>Support academic planning and recruitment <\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure effective campus operations <\/li>\n<li>Chair the Dubai Research Management Committee <\/li>\n<li>Contribute to major University-wide initiatives, including regional transnational education activity <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Experienced academic, ideally from engineering, technology, business, or a related STEM discipline <\/li>\n<li>Strong research track record and senior leadership experience within a university setting <\/li>\n<li>Experience managing people, budgets, and academic portfolios <\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to operate in complex, culturally diverse environments <\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the UAE higher education landscape highly desirable;
