The role treats patients directly and\/or makes referrals to other health\u2011care professionals at CCAD. <\/p>\n<h3>PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitors and provides care to patients at CCAD within the Integrated Surgical Institute \u2013 Ophthalmology specialty <\/li>\n<li>Prescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury <\/li>\n<li>Analyzes records, reports and test results to diagnose patient\u2019s medical condition <\/li>\n<li>Interacts with patient to gather additional history and information about medical condition <\/li>\n<li>Explains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patient <\/li>\n<li>Provides specific treatments and\/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditions <\/li>\n<li>Evaluates patient and records applicable notes about patient\u2019s condition for purposes of serving as a record of treatment and\/or making a possible referral to another member of the health\u2011care medical staff team <\/li>\n<li>Liaisons with other medical and non\u2011medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient treatment <\/li>\n<li>Performs surgical procedures and operations as appropriate <\/li>\n<li>Supplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner <\/li>\n<li>Follows ethical and regulatory guidelines <\/li>\n<li>Takes part in administrative functions that ensure the continued operations of the clinical environment, such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures <\/li>\n<li>Adheres to individual approved clinical privileges, as well as to all policies and procedures of the Medical Staff <\/li>\n<li>Provides supervision and training to residents and students <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>For Physicians from Tier 1 countries: not less than two (2) years after obtaining main specialty qualification and one (1) year of experience after obtaining sub\u2011specialty qualification. <\/li>\n<li>For Physicians from Tier 2 countries: not less than five (5) years after obtaining main specialty qualification and four (4) years of experience after obtaining sub\u2011specialty qualification. <\/li>\n<li>Fellowship or subspecialty training focused on Oculoplastics\/Orbit. <\/li>\n<li>Must hold a valid license\/registration to practice in their home country and\/or country of last employment (where applicable). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>ABOUT THE FACILITY <\/h3>\n<p>Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is located on Al Maryah Island, the heart of Abu Dhabi\u2019s new central business district.
