The product combines Core Banking, AI\u2011driven financial\u2011health tools, personalized insights and conversational UX into a fully mobile\u2011first experience. <\/p>\n<p>Backed by $230\u202fM in funding and led by leaders behind Revolut and Nubank, MAL is preparing for its 2026 launch with the mission to serve 2\u202fBillion Muslims and underbanked communities globally \u2013 people who have historically been underserved by traditional finance. <\/p>\n<p>This is not just another fintech \u2013 it is a category\u2011defining AI\u2011native banking platform built from the ground up. <\/p>\n<h3>The Position <\/h3>\n<p>We are looking for a Head of Mobile Engineering (Function Lead) to own the entire mobile engineering function across product verticals. <\/p>\n<p>You will drive stabilization and delivery of Core Banking while building scalable, reusable mobile foundations (design system, localization, analytics, CI\/CD integration standards) that power Financial Health (PFM), AI\u2011driven journeys and future vertical expansions. <\/p>\n<p>This is a hands\u2011on leadership role combining deep mobile architecture expertise with strong organizational impact. <\/p>\n<h3>Team Composition &#038; Stabilization <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ship and stabilize Core Banking including P2P correctness and release readiness. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure reliability of sensitive financial flows and authentication. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Mobile Foundations Ownership <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and standardize shared design systems and UI kits. <\/li>\n<li>Own localization and RTL frameworks (Arabic\u2011first environment). <\/li>\n<li>Establish analytics, error handling, offline capabilities and performance standards. <\/li>\n<li>Standardize SDK integrations (authentication, banking integrations, CMS patterns). <\/li>\n<li>Ensure secure auth\/session handling aligned with financial\u2011grade security. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Operational Excellence <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish high\u2011performing CI\/CD pipelines. <\/li>\n<li>Define QA gates and release cadence. <\/li>\n<li>Own crash monitoring, performance tracking and production quality. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain high release velocity while preserving banking\u2011grade stability. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Team Leadership <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Mentor and guide senior mobile engineers. <\/li>\n<li>Define architecture standards and enforce code quality. <\/li>\n<li>Align cross\u2011vertical teams around shared mobile principles. <\/li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with AI and backend teams for seamless integrations. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Success in the First 90 Days <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Core Banking P2P fully functional and stable with release gates. <\/li>\n<li>Authentication SDK standardized across sensitive flows. <\/li>\n<li>Shared UI kit and architecture adopted by Core Banking and PFM teams. <\/li>\n<li>Localization framework and RTL checklist implemented;
