The Dean ensures the academic and professional growth of students, faculty, and staff while fostering a dynamic learning environment that supports innovation, community oral-health initiatives, and international best practices. The role aligns the College\u2019s mission with the broader institutional vision and national healthcare priorities. <\/p>\n<p><b>Supervision: <\/b> <\/p>\n<p>The Dean reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (VCAA) and is responsible for: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring the effective execution of all academic and administrative duties. <\/li>\n<li>Overseeing the academic, clinical, financial, and operational management of the College of Dentistry. <\/li>\n<li>Building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, dental councils, and healthcare partners. <\/li>\n<li>Promoting excellence in dental education, patient care, research, and community service. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities: <\/b> <\/p>\n<p><b>Strategic Leadership: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and articulate a clear strategic vision for dental education, clinical practice, and research within the College. <\/li>\n<li>Lead the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of undergraduate, postgraduate and residency dental programs. <\/li>\n<li>Engage faculty, staff, and students in strategic planning, accreditation processes, and decision-making. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure alignment with institutional goals and compliance with national and international standards for dental education. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Academic &#038; Clinical Excellence: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the implementation of competency-based dental curricula rigorous academic standards and modern pedagogical approaches. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure continuous assessment and improvement of academic and clinical programs through measurable learning outcomes and feedback systems. <\/li>\n<li>Lead efforts to secure and maintain relevant accreditations (e.g., national accreditation bodies, international dental accreditation frameworks). <\/li>\n<li>Promote excellence, integrity, and innovation in dental teaching, clinical training, research, and service delivery. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Faculty and Staff Development: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommend recruitment, promotion, and retention of qualified faculty and clinical staff to the VCAA. <\/li>\n<li>Promote professional development in teaching methodologies, research skills, and clinical competencies. <\/li>\n<li>Encourage collaborative, interdisciplinary, and translational research projects. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure faculty workload planning supports teaching, clinical practice, and research productivity. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Resource &#038; Clinical Facility Management: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and manage the College\u2019s budget in alignment with strategic priorities. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure the effective allocation of resources, including dental laboratories, simulation centers, clinics, and diagnostic facilities. <\/li>\n<li>Oversee procurement and maintenance of dental technologies, materials, and equipment required for patient care and training. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure a safe, ethical, and patient-centered clinical environment in compliance with healthcare regulations. <\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the Center for Continuing Education and Enterprises (CCEE) in regards to the AU<br \/>Private Dental Clinic and the various dental training programs jointly administered with CCEE. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>External Relations and Community Outreach: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build strong partnerships with dental associations, healthcare institutions, accreditation bodies, industry partners, and government agencies. <\/li>\n<li>Promote community outreach programs, oral-health campaigns, and partnerships that advance public dental health services. <\/li>\n<li>Facilitate sponsorships, grants, research funding and fundraising opportunities. <\/li>\n<li>Represent the College in regional and international conferences, professional forums, and community events. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Governance and Collaboration: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate actively in the Council for Academic Affairs (CfAA) and contribute to University-wide initiatives. <\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with academic and administrative units to develop interdisciplinary programs and integrated healthcare initiatives. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure that policies, procedures, and academic standards are effectively implemented across the College. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u0645\u0624\u0647\u0644\u0627\u062a: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A doctorate in Dentistry (DDS, DMD, or BDS) and a PhD or professional doctorate (e.g., Doctorate in Dental Sciences or related field) from a reputable, accredited institution. <\/li>\n<li>Distinguished academic record with appointment at the rank of <b>Professor <\/b> in Dentistry. <\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership experience (preferably as Dean, Associate Dean, or equivalent) in an accredited College of Dentistry. <\/li>\n<li>Extensive clinical experience with a recognized well-reputed board certification and\/or equivalent advanced clinical credentials. <\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in dental program accreditation, curriculum development, and clinical governance. <\/li>\n<li>Strong background in research development, securing grants, and fostering academic\u2013clinical partnerships. <\/li>\n<li>Experience in budget planning, personnel management, and resource allocation within a dental academic or clinical setting. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Key Attributes: <\/b> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire faculty, staff, and students. <\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. <\/li>\n<li>Commitment to promoting quality, integrity, and innovation in dental education and clinical care. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to drive research excellence, community engagement, and collaborative initiatives. <\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities. <\/li>\n<li>Advocate for diversity, inclusion, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> #J-18808-Ljbffr<\/p>\n<p>2026-04-04 12:50:30<\/p>","protected":false},"author":100,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","template":"","job_listing_type":[68],"job_listing_category":[1351],"job_listing_location":[720],"job_listing_tag":[],"class_list":["post-83593","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","hentry","job_listing_type-full-time","job_listing_category-bio-pharmacology-health","job_listing_location-united-arab-emirates"],"metas":{"_job_featured_image":"","_job_featured":"","_job_filled":"","_job_urgent":"","_job_category":{"1351":"Bio &amp;
