{"id":83950,"date":"2026-04-16T20:35:21","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T16:35:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/herecareers.com\/job\/staff-software-engineer-backend-ai-platform\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T20:35:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T16:35:22","slug":"staff-software-engineer-backend-ai-platform","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/herecareers.com\/ar\/job\/staff-software-engineer-backend-ai-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"Staff Software Engineer &#8211; Backend (AI Platform)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>411_2954238<\/p>\n<p><h3>About The Team <\/h3>\n<p>The AI Acceleration Office builds the intelligence layer that powers Careem\u2019s ecosystem, and we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive architecture and development of it. <\/p>\n<h3>About The Role <\/h3>\n<p>As a Senior Software Engineer, you\u2019ll lead the architecture and development of the AI Agent Creation and Management Platform, an intelligent layer that enables scalable agent creation, orchestration, lifecycle management, and performance monitoring. <\/p>\n<h3>What You\u2019ll Do <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Architect and implement the foundational services for Careem\u2019s Agentic AI Platform, covering agent creation APIs, orchestration pipelines, state machines, and monitoring layers. <\/li>\n<li>Design abstractions for multi\u2011agent collaboration, memory persistence, and reasoning cycles integrated. <\/li>\n<li>Build scalable orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, or custom) that coordinate model calls, context injection, and multi\u2011turn workflows across internal and external agents. <\/li>\n<li>Develop observability and governance systems for AI agents: tracing, metrics, auditing, and self\u2011healing. <\/li>\n<li>Integrate LLM\u2011based and retrieval\u2011augmented components into backend services with strict latency, reliability, and compliance requirements. <\/li>\n<li>Work with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize models (embedding stores, vector databases, evaluation pipelines, model versioning). <\/li>\n<li>Establish standards for agent safety, lifecycle management, and deployment reliability across Careem\u2019s product ecosystem. <\/li>\n<li>Mentor engineers and shape platform\u2011wide engineering practices around AI integration and distributed systems design. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What You\u2019ll Need <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>6+ years of backend or distributed systems engineering experience, with 2\u20133 years in AI\/ML infrastructure or LLM\u2011based systems. <\/li>\n<li>Deep hands\u2011on experience in Python and Go, with production experience in building scalable, event\u2011driven architectures. <\/li>\n<li>Expertise in orchestration and distributed compute (Kubernetes). <\/li>\n<li>Experience in building end\u2011to\u2011end event\u2011driven architecture and data pipelines (Kafka, Airflow and Flink). <\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen) and design of multi\u2011agent or RAG systems. <\/li>\n<li>Experience in integrating LLMs and vector stores (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) into backend applications. <\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding of model and agent observability, monitoring, and continuous evaluation. <\/li>\n<li>Strong architectural skills, capable of designing systems that balance scalability, cost, and experimentation velocity. <\/li>\n<li>Experience working with data streaming, metrics, and real\u2011time feedback loops. <\/li>\n<li>Growth mindset and bias for ownership; you thrive in high\u2011autonomy, fast\u2011paced, and purpose\u2011driven environments. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What We\u2019ll Provide You <\/h3>\n<p>We offer colleagues the opportunity to drive impact in the region while they learn and grow. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work and learn from great minds by joining a community of inspiring colleagues. <\/li>\n<li>Put your passion to work in a purposeful organisation dedicated to creating impact in a region with a lot of untapped potential. <\/li>\n<li>Explore new opportunities to learn and grow every day. <\/li>\n<li>Work 4 days a week in office &#038; 1 day from home, and remotely from any country in the world for 30 days a year with unlimited vacation days per year.
