Crypto Exchange (UAE)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>411_3426765<\/p>\n<p><p>On-site | UAE | Crypto\/Fintech | Senior Leadership | UAE Residence is a must <\/p>\n<h3>About the Opportunity <\/h3>\n<p>We are a recruitment partner supporting a fintech company in the final stages of launching a regulated cryptocurrency exchange in the UAE (CMA licence). <\/p>\n<p>The company is building a fully compliant trading platform designed to serve both retail and institutional clients under the UAE regulatory framework. <\/p>\n<p>As part of the licensing process, they are assembling a core leadership team and are looking for a Head of Trading Platform \u2013 a critical role responsible for the performance, resilience, and regulatory compliance of the exchange\u2019s trading infrastructure. <\/p>\n<h3>Why This Role Is Unique <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Own and build the trading platform function in a regulated crypto exchange. <\/li>\n<li>Act as a key senior management role accountable to the UAE regulator (CMA). <\/li>\n<li>Join at an early stage with strong growth ambitions. <\/li>\n<li>High level of ownership over trading systems, performance, and market integrity. <\/li>\n<li>Direct impact on platform scalability, stability, and regulatory compliance. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What You Will Be Doing <\/h3>\n<h3>Trading Platform Strategy &#038; Leadership <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Define and execute the trading platform strategy aligned with business and regulatory requirements. <\/li>\n<li>Build and lead the trading platform function, including operations and market controls. <\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure strong governance focused on market fairness, stability, and transparency. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Platform Performance &#038; Infrastructure <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the design, scalability, and performance of trading systems (matching engine, OMS, APIs).  <\/li>\n<li>Ensure platform resilience, latency management, and high availability under peak conditions. <\/li>\n<li>Participate in technology roadmap decisions, including vendor selection and integrations. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain high standards for system reliability and operational efficiency. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Market Integrity &#038; Surveillance <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure fair, orderly, and transparent market operations in line with CMA requirements. <\/li>\n<li>Implement and oversee market surveillance frameworks to detect:\n<ul>\n<li>market manipulation <\/li>\n<li>abusive trading practices <\/li>\n<li>suspicious activity <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Define procedures for trading halts, circuit breakers, and trade corrections <\/li>\n<li>Escalate and report market integrity issues to Compliance and regulators <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Operational Resilience &#038; Incident Management <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Own incident management processes, including outages and root cause analysis. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP\/DR) frameworks are in place and tested. <\/li>\n<li>Lead response during critical incidents and ensure proper escalation. <\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular stress testing and failover exercises. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Risk &#038; Regulatory Compliance <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and manage risks related to trading platform operations. <\/li>\n<li>Work with Risk teams on KRIs, thresholds, and risk frameworks. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with CMA requirements related to trading systems, audit trails, and change management. <\/li>\n<li>Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Regulatory Interaction &#038; Reporting <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as the main point of contact with the CMA on trading platform matters. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely reporting of incidents, system changes, and market disruptions. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records of orders, executions, and system activity. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure full transparency and auditability of platform operations. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What We Are Looking For <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>10+ years of experience in trading platforms, exchanges, or fintech. <\/li>\n<li>5+ years in a senior leadership role managing trading systems or infrastructure. <\/li>\n<li>Strong experience in regulated financial environments (CMA or equivalent). <\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding of trading systems, market structure, and execution models. <\/li>\n<li>Experience with market surveillance and market abuse prevention. <\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to manage high-impact incidents and operate under pressure. <\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. <\/li>\n<li>Fluent English (Arabic is a plus). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Nice to Have <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with regulated exchanges or trading venues. <\/li>\n<li>Background in crypto markets or digital asset trading. <\/li>\n<li>Experience with market surveillance tools and technologies. <\/li>\n<li>Involvement in regulatory inspections or incident reporting. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Location &#038;
