The successful candidate will lead the Year 7 cohort, ensuring a smooth transition into secondary school and promoting high standards of behaviour, wellbeing and academic progress. <\/p>\n<h3>Job Purpose <\/h3>\n<p>The Head of Year 7 leads the academic and pastoral development of students in their first year of secondary school. The role focuses on establishing strong routines, high expectations and a supportive environment where pupils develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes to learning. <\/p>\n<h3>\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0647\u0627\u0645 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0633\u0627\u0633\u064a\u0629 <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the pastoral care and wellbeing of the Year 7 cohort. <\/li>\n<li>Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and engagement. <\/li>\n<li>Lead and manage the transition programme from Year 6 to Year 7. <\/li>\n<li>Monitor academic progress and coordinate interventions where needed. <\/li>\n<li>Support and line manage Year 7 form tutors. <\/li>\n<li>Build strong relationships with parents and communicate effectively. <\/li>\n<li>Promote a positive year group culture through enrichment and student participation. <\/li>\n<li>Track attendance, behaviour and wellbeing, ensuring timely support. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding and compliance. <\/li>\n<li>Contribute to whole-school priorities and initiatives. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Skills <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven leadership experience within a school setting. <\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of pastoral care and student development. <\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead and support staff effectively. <\/li>\n<li>Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent). <\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field; further qualifications desirable. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its students and staff.
