Crypto Exchange (UAE)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>411_3426283<\/p>\n<p><p><b>On-site | UAE | Crypto\/Fintech | Senior Leadership | UAE Residence is a must <\/b> <\/p>\n<h3>About the Opportunity <\/h3>\n<p>We are a recruitment partner supporting a <b>fintech <\/b> company in the final stages of launching a regulated cryptocurrency exchange in the UAE (CMA licence). <\/p>\n<p>The company is building a fully compliant <b>crypto <\/b> platform designed to serve both retail and institutional clients under the UAE regulatory framework. <\/p>\n<p>As part of the licensing process, they are assembling a core leadership team and are looking for a <b>Head of Compliance <\/b> &#8211; a critical role responsible for building the compliance function from the ground up and ensuring full alignment with regulatory requirements. <\/p>\n<h3>Why This Role Is Unique <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Build the compliance function from scratch in a regulated <b>crypto <\/b> exchange. <\/li>\n<li>Work directly with the UAE regulator (CMA) as part of the licensing process. <\/li>\n<li>Join at an early stage with strong growth ambitions. <\/li>\n<li>High level of ownership over compliance strategy and governance. <\/li>\n<li>Direct impact on licensing, regulatory relationships, and company-wide processes. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What You Will Be Doing <\/h3>\n<h3>Compliance Strategy &#038; Governance <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and lead the compliance function, establishing a strong culture of integrity and accountability. <\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement the compliance framework in line with CMA regulations and UAE laws. <\/li>\n<li>Provide independent oversight of business activities to ensure regulatory and ethical standards. <\/li>\n<li>Report regularly to senior management and the Board on compliance risks and developments. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Regulatory Compliance &#038; Licensing <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure ongoing compliance with CMA licensing requirements, rulebooks, and guidance. <\/li>\n<li>Act as the primary point of contact with the regulator and relevant authorities. <\/li>\n<li>Support licensing processes, regulatory submissions, inspections, and audits. <\/li>\n<li>Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>AML \/ CFT Oversight <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee implementation of AML\/CFT frameworks in line with UAE regulations. <\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective onboarding, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and reporting. <\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate financial crime risks. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Policies, Monitoring &#038; Controls <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls. <\/li>\n<li>Establish and execute a compliance monitoring plan. <\/li>\n<li>Investigate incidents and ensure proper remediation. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory records. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Training &#038; Culture <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and deliver compliance training across the organisation. <\/li>\n<li>Promote awareness of regulatory obligations and ethical standards. <\/li>\n<li>Advise on compliance risks related to new products and initiatives. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What We Are Looking For <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>10+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles. <\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years in a regulated financial institution, <b>fintech <\/b>, or <b>crypto <\/b> exchange. <\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of CMA regulations and UAE AML\/CFT frameworks. <\/li>\n<li>Experience building and managing compliance programmes. <\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of working with regulators. <\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical thinking and communication skills. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate independently and influence senior stakeholders. <\/li>\n<li>Fluent English (Arabic is a plus). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Nice to Have <\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working directly with CMA. <\/li>\n<li>Involvement in licensing or regulatory approval processes. <\/li>\n<li>Background in <b>crypto <\/b> exchanges or digital asset platforms. <\/li>\n<li>Experience building compliance functions in early-stage companies. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Location &#038;
