Job Position

Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers as a 50% HO position in agile Fintech solutions, requiring 3+ years of leadership and 4+ years in Python backend development.

Description

Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers (Python)
50% HO position
Agile development of high scale cloud-based solutions in a Fintech area
Collaboration with Product Management and other teams on requirements, design, integrations and development
Effective management of team goals and objectives, accurate work estimations and frequent deliveries within agreed deadlines
Proactive contribution to continuous improvement of work methodology, product quality and team personal development
A high level of ownership and responsibility of all work done by the team
Position will be involved in design and implementation of low latency, high availability and high-performance services
Reporting line to R&D Group Lead

Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience of leading a team of 3+ engineers
Hands-on experience of at least 4 years with object-oriented programming, high-scale backend development in Python
Ability to manage time effectively and direct the team towards the same standards
Ability to work in a multi-technology environment & learn new technologies
Experience in working with cloud-based architectures and AWS specifically
Fintech experience – is an advantage
Excellent English (written and verbal)
