Responsibilities

• Design and implement test scenarios and test plans for functional, non-functional, integration, system, regression, UAT, and API testing.
• Plan, execute, and document manual testing activities; manage defects and coordinate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Appium, and Cucumber; work with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo) and version control systems (Git, SVN).
• Perform performance and security testing (on-premise and cloud); use tools like JMeter, Blazemeter, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and assess OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Validate data integrity and perform database testing across DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL); verify applications on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Collaborate in Agile environments, following SDLC/STLC, Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps testing practices.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, collaboration, time management, and adaptability.
• Understand Higher Education domain processes and enterprise systems/solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Application Testing Engineer.
• Testing Design & Implementation: Proven ability to design and execute test scenarios as listed above.
• Automation & Tools: Proficient in automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Appium, and Cucumber; experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo) and version control systems (Git, SVN).
• Manual Testing & Defect Management: Expertise in test planning, execution, exploratory testing, usability testing, and defect tracking using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Performance & Security Testing: Experience with load/stress testing tools (JMeter, Blazemeter, Visual Studio, LoadRunner); security testing with OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite; knowledge of common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
• Database & Cloud Testing: Proficient in SQL, data validation, and DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL); testing applications on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Agile & SDLC Knowledge: Familiarity with SDLC/STLC, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps testing practices.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical/problem-solving abilities, effective communication, collaboration, time management, and adaptability.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Higher Education industry processes and enterprise systems/solutions.
