Backend Engineer – C++ (1 year contract renewable)
Location: Abu Dhabi
Salary: Up to 25k AED Tax Free p/m plus benefits

We are seeking a Senior Backend Java Developer with extensive experience in JAVA to join our innovative team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and a skill in developing a broad range of applications and proprietary solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Optimize: Design, develop, and optimize backend systems using Java, with a focus on scalable and high-performance architectures.
  2. Collaborative Development: Work closely with developers, system architects, and product managers in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
  3. Technological Leadership: Contribute to architectural decisions and lead the adoption of emerging backend technologies and frameworks.
  4. Report writing: Drafting detailed reports on the work performed and projects completed.

Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years experience in C++ based programming.
  2. Design, implement and maintain C++ applications that can be high-volume and low-latency.
  3. Familiar with complex event processing and event-driven architecture.
  4. Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments.
  5. Handling external and embedded databases Mongo, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
  6. Strong understanding of implementing design patterns for distributed systems.
  7. Strong understanding of microservices.
  8. Knowledge of current frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and libraries.
  9. Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitLab and Docker.
  10. Experience in Kafka and Elastic Search.
  11. Skilled at creating database schemas that characterize and support business processes.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Soft Skills:

  1. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  3. Self-motivated and capable of independent work while thriving in team environments.
  4. Comfortable in fast-paced Agile settings.
