Role

The roleof Business Advisory – Compliance Director is based in the UAE and supports theHead of Compliance by acting as the primary 2LOD compliance advisor to myZoi’sbusinesses and functions, whilst also supporting the management of theregulatory compliance and governance framework across myZoi.

The roleenables safe and scalable business growth by providing proactive regulatory,conduct, privacy, and business compliance advisory aligned with myZoi’scompliance standards. The role will also support implementation of myZoi’scompliance strategy, aligned to the myZoi’s Compliance.

Responsibilities

Business

  • Be a ‘trusted advisor’ to the Business andprovide timely advice to ensure compliance with all relevant laws andregulations including data privacy.
  • Engageearly in product development, change initiatives, and customer journey designto embed regulatory and conduct obligations “by design.”
  • Provide advice to relevant stakeholders onthe interpretation and application of regulatory expectations, laws, bestpractices and policies related to Compliance, including marketing materials,customer communications, technology changes, and outsourcing arrangements.
  • Assistwith developing a risk-based Compliance framework and a programme formonitoring and assurance that supports the transition to proactive, pre‑emptiveregulatory and compliance and conduct risk mitigation.
  • Provideguidance across the business on the application and interpretation oflegislation, regulatory guidelines and policies, especially data management anddata protection regulations and industry standards.
  • Providerobust challenge where proposed business activities fall outside risk appetiteor regulatory expectations, escalating as necessary.
  • Partnerwith and, where required, objectively challenge myZoi’s businesses andfunctions to uphold Group conduct expectations, regulatory and achieve faircustomer outcomes.
  • ProvideBAU regulatory advice, analysis for new business initiatives, bespoke projects,remediation programmes, ad‑hoc regulatory and/or conduct reviews.
  • Manage and conduct investigations that detectand report suspicious activity to governmental authorities, ensuring timely andaccurate assessment of regulatory, compliance, and reputational risks.
  • Reviewincentive schemes and customer‑facing conduct triggers.
  • Serve asthe 2LOD conduct advisor, embedding myZoi’s conduct principles, customerfairness outcomes, and cross‑border conduct expectations
  • Promote a strong culture of ethics, conduct, and data protection across myZoi,aligned with Group Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Be guidedby and aligned to the Group’s and SC Venture’s (“SCV’s”) Compliance framework;producing high‑quality compliance and conduct risk insights and contributing toGroup and SCV reporting requirements.

Processes

  • As anindependent second line risk control function, execute key components of the Compliancerisk framework by providing specialist advice, oversight, and proportionatechallenge in a manner aligned to the nature, scale and complexity of myZoi’s business.
  • Implementprivacy obligations and responsibilities across the organisation providingconsistent oversight and challenge across all business areas.
  • Assist insetting control standards and provide advice on appropriate controls formitigation of regulatory risks including controls relating to customer datahandling, outsourcing, third‑party risk, and technology change.
  • Escalateto Head of Compliance regulatory breaches or risk tolerance reaches and ensure promptremediation or cessation of non‑compliant activities.
  • Analyseand interpret complex regulatory impact on myZoi’s business.
  • Advise onmaterial Compliance, data and privacy issues and breaches and ensure appropriatesteps are taken for containment, remediation, and regulator notifications.
  • Overseethe end‑to‑end management of compliance (including regulatory, conduct and dataprivacy) risks.
  • Identify compliancerisk indicators through internal and external intelligence sources that impactmyZoi and its customers.
  • Contributingto the development and periodic refresh of Compliance policies and standards inaccordance with myZoi’s governance structure.
  • Contributeto designing and enhancing controls for myZoi across risk categories whereCompliance is designated as the Risk Owner under relevant Risk ManagementFrameworks.
  • Collaboratewith other Compliance and Financial Crime teams within the Group and SCV toanticipate horizon risks and assess potential impacts on myZoi and developstrategies to mitigate such risks, including conduct expectations and emergingregulatory themes.

Governance

  • Assistwith the drafting and implementation of Compliance and Data Protectionpolicies, standards, procedures and process notes.
  • Promoteand embed a culture of openness, trust, risk awareness, data protection andstrong organisational compliance, including effective rollout and embedding ofregulatory and financial crime standards.
  • Assistwith remediation activities for any regulatory and privacy breaches.
  • Assist theHead of Compliance and myZoi with horizon scanning including monitoring) ofregulatory changes developments within the relevant jurisdictions and assessingimplications for myZoi’s business model and product roadmap.
  • Maintainoversight of data privacy and compliance implementation across all functions andensure timely escalation of material issues.
  • Manage BAUregulatory relationship management including interactions with regulators,preparation of submissions, support with licensing, handling regulatoryqueries, and managing routine inspections.

About You

  • 10+ yearsof relevant compliance experience including business and data advisory, issueand compliance risk management, gap analysis and implementation programmes.
  • Displayexemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Willing totake personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics,across myZoi.
  • Maintain astrong understanding of the financial services sector, with sound judgmentregarding business practices, regulatory framework and general risk management.
  • Strongstakeholder management skills with the ability to influence product,engineering, and senior leadership teams.
  • Maintainknowledge of corporate governance best practices, delivering Compliancetraining and overseeing the embedding of a robust compliance framework.
  • DataProtection Officer experience preferred.
  • Experience advisingfintech or digital financial services businesses is highly advantageous .
