Overview

Lead the design and development of mission-critical fintech and banking applications, ensuring compliance with best engineering and security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and enforce coding standards and architectural guidelines across all engineering teams.
  • Optimize system performance, including memory management, garbage collection, and infrastructure resource utilization.
  • Highly skilled programmer with secure coding practices and collaborate closely with DevOps teams to maintain highly available and secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Architect applications for containerized environments using Docker and manage orchestrated deployments with Kubernetes .
  • Oversee code reviews, version control, and release processes to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and career development guidance to development teams.
  • Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions through effective requirement engineering.
  • Drive Agile and Scrum practices to ensure timely delivery of features, enhancements, and platform improvements.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 15+ years of hands-on software development experience, primarily in Java and Spring Boot .
  • 8+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams, preferably in fintech or financial services.
  • Strong experience building financial systems , payment platforms, or banking-grade applications.
  • Expertise in messaging queues and event-driven architectures for real-time transaction processing.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and source control tools including Git and Bitbucket .
  • Deep understanding of JVM internals , performance optimization, and garbage collection strategies.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases , distributed systems, and caching technologies (e.g., Redis ).
  • Hands-on experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines , containerization, and modern deployment strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a strong focus on mentorship and team growth.
