Overview

My client is a regional hotel operator with a multi branded portfolio of properties. They have ambitious growth plans and a successful leadership team driving the challenge to grow from 15+ properties to 30+ by 2030. It’s a challenging and rewarding time to be an integral part of the driving force of assessing future acquisitions and maintaining current properties.

The role will see you working with acquisitions, pre-opening, refurbishments and new builds. You’ll report directly to the CEO with each property DOE having a dotted reporting line to you. Travel is involved in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with acquisitions, pre-opening, refurbishments and new builds as part of the growth strategy.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and property DOEs, with a dotted reporting line to the role.
  • Travel as required to support properties and projects.
  • Evaluate new hotel proposals, review AutoCAD designs and equipment specifications, engage the appropriate contractors and consultants, and ensure projects are timed, planned and risk mitigated.

Qualifications

  • Currently at Large Cluster / Area/ Corporate level as DOE – Essential
  • Project Management Experience – Essential
  • Experience of planning through to design and working with various consultants including government agencies ensuring compliance in all aspects of building legislation – Essential
  • Evaluation of new hotel proposals reviewing AutoCAD designs, equipment specifications, engaging the appropriate contractors and consultants, ensuring that all projects have been timed, planned and risk averted – Essential
  • Degree in Engineering – Essential
  • Technical drawing ability – Draw and translate – Essential
  • Working knowledge of Electrical / Mechanical / Construction projects – Essential
  • CAPEX/ Budgeting/ Contractor / Stakeholder management – Essential
