Responsibilities

• Define and drive the company’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives while identifying opportunities for innovation and operational efficiency.
• Lead the engineering function with a hands‑on approach, including conducting architecture and code reviews, establishing technical standards, and making key build vs. buy decisions.
• Own and evolve the end‑to‑end technical architecture of the company’s products and platforms, including system design, technology stack selection, data architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Design, implement, and oversee robust security architecture across all products, including threat modeling, secure SDLC practices, penetration testing, and incident response planning.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, leading research and development initiatives to evaluate and adopt new solutions that support business growth.
• Evaluate, select, and manage technology vendors and partners, including contract negotiation and performance management to ensure optimal value delivery.
• Oversee the technology budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources across strategic and operational initiatives while identifying cost optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams to align technology initiatives with business priorities, ensuring clear communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to technology, data privacy, and information security, implementing policies to mitigate risk and maintain governance.

Requirements

• Demonstrated hands‑on experience in modern software development within the past 3–5 years.
• Strong ability to conduct code reviews and assess software architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Proven experience working with cloud‑native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP), along with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing and developing APIs, microservices, and distributed systems in complex environments.
• Solid understanding of modern security engineering practices, extending beyond governance into implementation.
• Hands‑on proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript.
• Candidates must have recent, practical experience in software development or system architecture within the last 5 years. Profiles lacking this will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 20+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, with substantial hands‑on expertise in software development and system architecture.
• Proven track record of driving technology innovation, including the design, development, and successful implementation of scalable solutions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage high‑performing engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience in shaping innovation strategy, as well as managing technology budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships.
