We are seeking an experienced Design Manager with strong expertise in piling and deep foundation systems to lead and manage the design and engineering activities for foundation projects. The candidate will oversee design teams, ensure compliance with project specifications, and provide technical guidance for safe and cost-effective foundation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design of piling and deep foundation systems including bored piles, driven piles, CFA piles, sheet piles, and diaphragm walls.
  • Review geotechnical reports and develop appropriate foundation solutions.
  • Prepare and review structural calculations, design drawings, and technical reports .
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure design compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure designs comply with international standards and local authority regulations .
  • Provide technical support during tendering and project execution stages .
  • Review method statements and construction procedures related to piling works.
  • Manage and mentor the engineering and drafting team .
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure design deliverables are completed on schedule .
  • Participate in client meetings and technical discussions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Professional Engineer certification is an advantage.

Experience

  • 15-20 years of experience in civil engineering with strong exposure to piling and foundation engineering .
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial or design leadership role .
  • Experience working with piling contractors or foundation specialists .

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical and structural design principles .
  • Experience with foundation design software such as PLAXIS, GEO5, or similar tools .
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering design software .
  • Familiarity with BS, Eurocode, ACI, and local construction standards .
