Overview
A growing organization in the travel and experiences sector is seeking a Product/Destination Experiences Manager to develop, refine, and manage a portfolio of tours, excursions, and packaged travel experiences. This role is ideal for someone who combines creative product thinking with strong commercial and operational awareness to bring high-quality, guest-focused travel products to market. You will work closely with senior product leadership and collaborate across contracting, pricing, operations, reservations, sales, and marketing to ensure products are innovative, operationally feasible, and commercially successful.
Important: This position focuses on developing and managing travel experiences, itineraries, and excursion products . It is not related to software, digital, or IT product management.
Responsibilities
- Develop new travel products, experiences, and packages aligned with strategic business objectives
- Conduct market and competitor research, incorporating partner insights and customer feedback into product design
- Support pilot launches and phased rollouts, refining products based on performance and guest feedback
- Partner with supplier and contracting teams to secure competitive commercial terms and value-added inclusions
- Work alongside pricing and analytics teams to ensure products are both profitable and market-relevant
- Create product itineraries, USPs, and content to support B2B and B2C sales channels
- Manage development timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination
- Ensure operational readiness by working closely with delivery and service teams
- Monitor performance KPIs, including bookings, revenue, margins, and customer satisfaction
- Conduct quality checks, site inspections, and ongoing product benchmarking
- Identify product improvement opportunities using market trends and performance insights
- Maintain accurate product documentation, supplier records, and reporting data
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in travel product management, tourism, hospitality, or destination services
- Strong understanding of travel operations and service quality standards
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Analytical mindset with confidence in interpreting performance and market data
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred Background
- Experience in a destination services, tour operations, or travel experiences environment
- Exposure to structured project management or product development methodologies
- Additional tourism or product-related certifications are advantageous
