Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, running engagements with clients (e.g., consulting, project management, sales, implementation or technical sales).
- Experience with information technology and computer systems that support enterprise goals, including cloud, data, and AI technologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- 10 years of experience as an executive.
- Experience operating in a global role or on a global scale.
- Experience in digital transformation either at an FSI company or serving/selling to FSI companies (e.g., consulting, technical services).
- Established, actionable, relevant executive/C-suite relationships and excellent reputation within the communications industry/ecosystem.
About the job
As the Director and Market Lead, Global Financial Services Industry (FSI) for Google Cloud, you will be responsible for developing the strategy for FSI adoption and growth across the Americas, while contributing to global initiatives. You will support the Google Cloud FSI industry narrative and positioning, assisting Americas and global sales teams in winning and growing FSI customers, and collaborating with product and engineering on product strategy and roadmaps. You’ll also foster the industry partner ecosystem (e.g., ISVs and systems integrators), work with teams to grow the FSI community and field personnel, and maintain the FSI industry portfolio of products, solutions, and partner offerings.
You’ll use a player-coach mindset to lead through influence, and be equally effective interfacing with C-level executives or working in the details of large deals. You’ll collaborate and partner with product, engineering, marketing, sales, and consulting teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$378,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Contribute to the FSI industry strategy and roadmap, and develop the industry portfolio by understanding customer demand and working with product, solutions, and partner teams.
- Lead C-level engagements to support sales team account strategies and demonstrate global thought leadership through industry events and publications.
- Coordinate the cross-functional FSI industry team, evolving the industry operating model, and building strong relationships with leaders across Google Cloud and the broader Google organization.
- Manage ISV, technology, and systems integrator partnership relationships and acquisitions.
