The Construction Director will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale data center projects (50–100MW+), ensuring execution excellence across schedule, cost, quality, and safety. This role is critical in delivering mission‑critical infrastructure aligned with hyperscale and AI‑driven demand.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead construction execution from pre‑construction through commissioning
  • Own project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Drive fast‑track delivery strategies (modular, phased builds)

Technical Oversight

  • Oversee mission‑critical systems: HV/MV electrical, UPS, generators, cooling systems
  • Ensure compliance with Tier III / IV standards and industry best practices (e.g. Uptime Institute)

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, and key suppliers
  • Interface with investors, developers, utilities, and authorities

Commercial Management

  • Control multi‑million/billion AED budgets
  • Lead procurement of long‑lead equipment (transformers, generators, chillers)
  • Manage contracts, variations, and claims
  • Develop and track integrated master schedules
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks (power, supply chain, permitting)

HSE & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Maintain full regulatory compliance

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in construction/project delivery
  • Proven experience delivering data center or mission‑critical projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical infrastructure
  • Experience working with hyperscalers/operators (e.g. Equinix, Digital Realty, Microsoft) preferred
  • GCC experience is an advantage

Required Skills

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially driven with solid contract and cost management experience
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred
