Overview

JOB PURPOSE: Assist the EC3 Specialist and Manager in supporting the EC3 Event Management and Planning function and in providing data and reports for planning and managing Special Events.

Responsibilities

• Create traffic simulation models for the Dubai multi-modal transportation network for short and medium term events.
• Develop Event Plans through utilization of simulation software whilst coordinating with RTA’s Event Management Team.
• Utilize historic data to propose future improvements to events, while working closely with the Event Planning and Management Team.
• Extract data and information from EC3 systems and implement transport modelling initiatives through the use of simulators and modelling, and coordinate with RTA agencies / sectors and other emirates to inform investment and strategic decisions.
• Assist the Event Monitoring and Communication Specialist in developing plans and sharing simulation models with internal and external RTA stakeholders.
• Analyze historical data, highlight risks, and develop models based on lessons learned from historical data and past events.
• Maintain a schedule of all events in Dubai that have the potential to impact the multi-modal transportation network.
• Develop detailed traffic engineering reports based on analyzed data and make recommendations to the Event Monitoring Specialist or the Section Head.
• Liaise with other EC3 and RTA Departments to provide and obtain event planning data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering from a recognized university
