This is a dedicated EA Tool Specialist role , focused specifically on the implementation, configuration, and day-to-day administration of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) platform. This is not a general Enterprise or Solution Architecture position. The successful candidate will act as the technical guardian of the EA repository, ensuring it accurately supports the bank’s architecture governance, modeling standards, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tool Administration & Configuration
  • Lead the end-to-end hands-on implementation, configuration, and administration of the Orbus iServer platform
  • Customize and maintain the EA Metamodel, ensuring alignment with TOGAF and ArchiMate standards
  • Manage user access, permissions, and the organizational structure of the EA repository
  • Repository Management & Modeling
  • Support enterprise architecture practices by maintaining a high-quality, “single source of truth” repository
  • Develop and maintain automated viewpoints, dashboards, and heatmaps to support C-suite decision-making
  • Ensure all BDAT (Business, Data, Application, Technology) layers are correctly modeled and cross-linked
  • Integration & Automation
  • Manage integrations between the EA tool and external data sources (e.g., CMDB, JIRA, ServiceNow) via APIs or scripting
  • Use .NET, Java, or Python scripting to automate data imports/exports and periodic reporting
  • Practice Support
  • Provide direct support and training to the broader Enterprise Architecture team on how to utilize the tool effectively
  • Establish and enforce data entry standards to maintain repository integrity

Mandatory Requirements

  • Location: Candidates must be UAE-based. Profiles from outside the UAE will not be considered for this specific rotation.
  • Specialization: Demonstrated hands-on experience specifically as an EA Tool Specialist. This includes tool setup, metamodel design, and ongoing platform maintenance.
  • EA Tool Expertise: 3-5 years of dedicated experience with Orbus iServer (highly preferred) or equivalent high-end tools (e.g., Sparx EA, LeanIX, Alfabet).
  • Framework Knowledge: Mastery of ArchiMate and TOGAF modeling within a tool environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct Experience: Proven track record of supporting large-scale enterprise architecture practices through dedicated tool management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python) and understanding of SQL/Database structures behind EA repositories.
  • Sector Experience: Previous experience within a UAE Financial Institution or highly regulated banking environment.
