Leams Education is inviting applications from school-experienced Health & Safety Officers (Female) with NEBOSH certification to ensure that all health and safety protocols are being adhered to in compliance with KHDA/DHA/DM guidelines.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop regulations, policies, standards, and guidelines to improve health and safety procedures for the school related to the safety and security of students, staff, and property.
- Monitor the implementation of these procedures.
- Train relevant staff on best practices and Dubai Municipality (DM) & KHDA requirements.
- Conduct all necessary training for students and staff.
- Manage the designated isolation room on the school premises.
- Provide guidelines on daily and continuous cleaning and sanitisation requirements for school premises.
- Adhere to DHA regulations.
- Undertake fire safety audits and coordinate with Civil Defense during inspections and other fire & safety issues.
- Conduct evacuation drills and produce appropriate reports.
- Deliver fire safety training and orientations to newly hired employees; conduct annual refresher courses and maintain records.
- Identify potential safety or fire hazards; take action or make recommendations to eliminate hazards during inspections.
- Conduct contact tracing procedures in coordination with the school clinic, including recording contacts’ details and actions in the HASANA system.
- Manage emergency situations following H&S protocols.
- Update contact and emergency numbers for staff and students.
- Schedule stakeholder meetings to address priorities and solutions.
- Coordinate with operations/maintenance team to ensure strict adherence to H&S protocols.
- Stop unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
- Record and investigate incidents; conduct risk analyses.
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to school management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a school Health and Safety Officer with NEBOSH/IOSH certification.
- Knowledge of safety principles, accident, and fire prevention.
- Ability to maintain composure and respond properly during emergencies.
- Knowledge of regulatory policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Experience in writing incident reports and safety policies.
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting statistics.
