What Will Your Day Look Like?

The Finance Business Partner – Digital Technology & Value Chain activities with a specialized focus on partnering closely with the Digital & Technology (D&T) organization on operating expenditure (Opex), capital expenditure (Capex), and project portfolios. The role acts as the primary finance partner to the D&T leadership team and ensures strong financial planning, governance, analytics, and investment tracking across all D&T initiatives.

In addition, the role supports Group-level Capex consolidation and provides end‑to‑end financial insights across the Value Chain including Procurement, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. This is a Group-level analytical role requiring close coordination across multiple markets and business functions.

How Will You Make an Impact?

1. Group FP&A Support

  • Consolidate financial submissions across markets and business units for FP&A cycles.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Group reporting standards.
  • Support monthly forecasting, budgeting, and long‑term financial planning.
  • Maintain reporting templates, definitions, and governance frameworks.

2. Business Partnering with Digital & Technology (Major Focus Area)

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the Opex and Capex budgeting process for D&T including infrastructure, software, cybersecurity, digital products, licenses, AMS/support, and innovation projects.
  • Challenge assumptions, validate submissions, and ensure alignment with Group strategic priorities.
  • Track actuals versus forecasts, analyze variances, and proactively highlight risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with D&T project leads to evaluate business cases including ROI, NPV, IRR, and strategic alignment.
  • Monitor project spend, timelines, and expected benefit realization.
  • Ensure financial governance and transparency across the full digital project portfolio.

Operational Support & Cost Management

  • Work closely with D&T leadership on cost optimization initiatives, financial discipline, and budget reallocation where necessary.

3. Group-Level Capex Activities

  • Consolidate Group Capex plans (Budget, Forecast, and Latest Estimate) across markets and functions.
  • Review Capex requests for financial accuracy, policy compliance, and strategic alignment.
  • Track Capex execution and provide insights on spending trends, risks, and project performance.
  • Develop and maintain Capex dashboards and reporting for senior leadership.
  • Support preparation of month‑end financial decks for Group Leadership covering FP&A, D&T, Capex, and Value Chain performance.
  • Provide clear financial insights, highlight key trends, and deliver high‑quality commentary.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting materials.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification preferred: CA, ACCA, CMA, or CPA.

Experience

  • 4–7 years of experience in FP&A or Finance Business Partnering roles.
  • Experience partnering with IT, Digital, or D&T functions is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to Group-level or multi-market financial consolidation.
  • Understanding of Value Chain finance across procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment is mandatory.

Technical Skills

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Good understanding of Capex governance and IT cost structures.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with technical teams.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions constructively while building trusted partnerships.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented.
