A well-established Exchange & Remittance Company in Dubai is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead its business growth, operational excellence, and strategic direction. This role demands a dynamic leader with deep experience in the UAE’s foreign exchange and remittance industry, a strong grasp of Central Bank regulations, and a proven record in expanding business performance through innovation, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the company’s overall business operations, ensuring profitability, sustainability, and full regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand customer base, enhance product offerings, and strengthen market position.
- Oversee day-to-day exchange and remittance operations , ensuring optimal performance, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Formulate and execute market entry, pricing, and partnership strategies aligned with competitive trends in the UAE and GCC.
- Establish and monitor risk and fraud management frameworks in line with Central Bank of the UAE guidelines on AML/CFT, KYC, and operational risk.
- Optimize internal processes, systems, and branch operations to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
- Lead, mentor, and develop branch and head‑office teams to achieve organizational objectives.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, banking partners, and strategic stakeholders to maintain strong professional relationships and ensure business continuity.
Requirements
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the foreign exchange and remittance sector , including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or GM role in the UAE.
- Proven success in business expansion, operational optimization, and risk management within an exchange house environment.
- In-depth understanding of CBUAE regulations, AML/CFT frameworks, compliance standards, and governance requirements .
- Strong analytical, leadership, and decision‑making capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
