About the job
This role sits on the Policy Campaigns Marketing team. This team leads the marketing response and coordination for some of the biggest policy issues impacting the business. The role involves working closely with the cross-functional team to develop and deploy marketing strategy and tactics to improve regulatory outcomes for the business. Tactics include research, collateral for KOFs, third-party engagement, events, proactive story telling, and planning for escalation scenarios. Key Stakeholders: Regional and Local brand marketers and the GAPP Campaigns team.
You will have creative ideas on how to talk to an audience in a non-traditional way. You will be skilled at juggling multiple priorities, are nimble, can grow in ambiguity, and put an emphasis on tracking progress against defined goals. Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google’s products solve the world’s problems–from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can–changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Responsibilities
- Partner with regional and local market teams to build strategic scenario planning to inform and improve our engagements and activations across policymakers, third-party organizations and key user groups.
- Develop and execute policy strategy that benefits Google users and our business in coordination with Google’s Government Affairs Campaign team and marketing’s regional and local teams.
- Work with cross-functional internal and international marketing teams to organize events, develop collateral, and build narratives to explain Google’s position on emerging policy topics globally.
- Lead research, collateral development for Key Opinion Formers (KOFs), events, proactive story telling, and strategic planning sessions.
