We are conducting a confidential executive search on behalf of a leading group headquartered in the UAE. The group operates across multiple industries, with a strong presence both locally and internationally.

The Group is seeking a strategic, business-oriented Head of Tax to lead the development and execution of its tax strategy across the UAE, regional, and international markets. This is a pivotal leadership role, reporting at group level, with responsibility for ensuring compliance, optimizing tax efficiency, and advising senior leadership on tax implications for strategic business initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the Group’s tax strategy across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing, and other applicable regulations, as well as international tax frameworks.
• Provide strategic tax advice to the Board and Group Leadership on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and cross-border transactions.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, and Business Units to assess tax implications of commercial and investment decisions.
• Oversee tax risk management and liaise with external advisors, auditors, and government authorities.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing tax team.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in UAE corporate tax, regional tax regimes, and international tax structures.
• Big Four background is highly desirable, with strong technical foundations in tax advisory and compliance.
• A career that combines both multi-national corporate experience and exposure within a local, multi-industry group environment.
• Expertise in transfer pricing, international structuring, tax planning, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and advisory skills, with the ability to operate at Group Board level.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CTA are preferred.
