Head of Internal Shari’ah Control | Financial Services | Orient Takaful PJSC

Orient Takaful is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head of Internal Shari’ah Control to lead and manage the Company’s Shari’ah supervision and governance function in coordination with the Internal Shari’ah Supervisory Committee (ISSC).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Shari’ah or a relevant specialization
• Professional certification in Shari’ah supervision and/or Takaful insurance from a recognized Islamic finance body (e.g., AAOIFI, CIBAFI)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Islamic financial institutions
• At least 5 years of experience in Shari’ah supervision within Takaful insurance companies
• Excellent command of English and Arabic

Role Summary

• Ensure full Shari’ah compliance across products, operations, and practices, providing guidance in line with ISSC resolutions and approved standards
• Strengthen internal Shari’ah control frameworks and governance structures
• Liaise closely with the Internal Shari’ah Supervisory Committee
• Communicate ISSC resolutions to the Internal Shari’ah Control Division, Internal Shari’ah Audit Division, and other relevant departments across the Company
