Black & Grey HR is hiring for a well-established global logistics and freight forwarding organization offering integrated air, ocean, and land transportation, customs brokerage, warehousing, and end-to-end supply chain solutions. We are seeking a highly driven and performance-oriented Head of Sales – Air Freight Business Development with a strong hunter sales mentality to lead aggressive market expansion and revenue growth within the air freight division.

Key Responsibilites

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute aggressive sales strategies to achieve ambitious air freight revenue targets.
  • Identify, prospect, and close new clients through cold calling, networking, industry events, and strategic outreach.
  • Build a strong pipeline of opportunities and convert leads into long-term business relationships.
  • Focus heavily on new account acquisition (hunter profile) rather than account maintenance.

Client & Commercial Management

  • Engage with key decision-makers across industries.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, RFQs, pricing discussions, and contract finalization.
  • Design tailored air freight solutions aligned with client supply chain requirements.

Market Strategy & Collaboration

  • Monitor market trends, airline capacity, pricing dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and expansion initiatives within the air freight vertical.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Maintain structured pipeline tracking and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Deliver regular performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Drive KPIs aligned with revenue growth, gross margin, and customer acquisition targets.

Requirements

  • 8–15+ years of proven experience in air freight forwarding sales or logistics business development.
  • Strong hunter mindset with a demonstrated track record of winning new business and closing high-value accounts.
  • Existing network of shippers, freight forwarders, and corporate clients within the UAE/GCC is a strong advantage.
  • Deep understanding of air cargo products, airline networks, pricing structures, and international trade regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and commercial acumen.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and drive results.
  • Fluency in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
