Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and screen recruitment applications from various sources
  • Conduct and coordinate short-listing and interviewing activities
  • Maintain staff files and related recruitment tracking tools and statistics
  • Support and monitor various human resources activities such as appointments, staff movements, resignations, retirements, re-assignments, transfers, and staff mobility to ensure timely fulfillment of vacancies
  • Prepare job descriptions and person specifications
  • Support internship programs, national service training, and other initiatives
  • Maintain the human resource database and all employee records with an accurate filing system
  • Participate in investigating employee grievances and assist in resolving disciplinary or grievance cases following organization policies, seeking senior intervention for complex cases
  • Handle questions, interpret, and administer timekeeping; help resolve attendance-related issues to meet time and attendance guidelines
  • Research and update policies to ensure compliance with new government and federal laws
  • Work closely with departments to assist line managers and employees in implementing HR policies and procedures, providing explanations and clarifications
  • Assist with training managers and staff on performance management and appraisal processes
  • Support line managers in conducting performance management systems and finalizing appraisal ratings
  • Implement induction programs for new hires
  • Perform other relevant tasks as directed by the HR department

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or equivalent
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
