Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and screen recruitment applications from various sources
- Conduct and coordinate short-listing and interviewing activities
- Maintain staff files and related recruitment tracking tools and statistics
- Support and monitor various human resources activities such as appointments, staff movements, resignations, retirements, re-assignments, transfers, and staff mobility to ensure timely fulfillment of vacancies
- Prepare job descriptions and person specifications
- Support internship programs, national service training, and other initiatives
- Maintain the human resource database and all employee records with an accurate filing system
- Participate in investigating employee grievances and assist in resolving disciplinary or grievance cases following organization policies, seeking senior intervention for complex cases
- Handle questions, interpret, and administer timekeeping; help resolve attendance-related issues to meet time and attendance guidelines
- Research and update policies to ensure compliance with new government and federal laws
- Work closely with departments to assist line managers and employees in implementing HR policies and procedures, providing explanations and clarifications
- Assist with training managers and staff on performance management and appraisal processes
- Support line managers in conducting performance management systems and finalizing appraisal ratings
- Implement induction programs for new hires
- Perform other relevant tasks as directed by the HR department
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
