Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels of components and materials used in the SMT & DIP processes.
    • Ensure that materials are available just in time for production to minimize storage costs and reduce waste.
    • Implement and maintain JIT inventory management systems and processes.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to verify stock levels and accuracy.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to schedule deliveries based on production needs and schedules.
    • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery times, quality, or quantities.
    • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions for the company.
  • Production Coordination
    • Work closely with the SMT Line Leader and production planning team to understand production schedules and material requirements.
    • Ensure that materials are delivered to the production line in the right quantities and at the right times.
    • Monitor production flows to anticipate and resolve any potential material shortages.
    • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that delivered materials meet quality standards.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Generate and maintain reports on inventory levels, supplier performance, and production efficiency.
    • Use data to make informed decisions about inventory management and supplier relationships.
    • Report on JIT performance metrics to the SMT & DIP Workshop Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve JIT processes and reduce material waste.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor the impact of process changes and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory transactions, supplier agreements, and material deliveries.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to inventory management.
    • Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for JIT processes.
    • Ensure documentation is available and accessible for audits and inspections.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) are advantageous.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain management, or logistics.
  • Experience in the microelectronics industry and SMT & DIP processes is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing JIT processes and improving inventory efficiency.
