Responsibilities
- Promote, develop, manage, and monitor activities for Corporate, Direct & Special Sales (CDS) & Used Car (UC) to maximize business opportunities with the support of the Area Managers.
- Implement country-specific Roadmap concept and work closely with importers to develop CDS & UC capability through market evaluation, identification of priority opportunities, sales prospect management, and customer visits.
- Develop a middle and long-range CDS & UC Strategy for importers in alignment with Area Management.
- Monitor the budget, forecast, and steer the achievement for the share of CDS & UC, sharing insights and management reports on development.
- Check, monitor, and support the importer claims for the CDS program.
- Develop and implement the used car full circle process within the region.
- Secure, align, and process support from the central/regional teams for the CDS & UC function.
- Monitor competitor sales actions and make appropriate recommendations.
- Conduct regular dealer visits regarding CDS & Used car topics and develop retail sales campaigns.
- Fully understand the protocol in handling VIPs, Corporate, Diplomats, Government, Royalties, Military, and Hotel/Airline/Rental and Leasing/Shuttle programs.
- Determine the corporate sales policy and set up the corporate sales & used car channel.
- Consider volume, profitability, dealer profitability, sales expectations, and customer expectations in terms of product substance and price, as well as BMW premium positioning expectations/requirements.
- Manage increased complexity and breadth of BMW model portfolio and technological innovation.
- Adapt sales strategy and planning to rapidly changing market conditions, requiring constant analysis and recommendations to secure optimal sales volumes and profitability.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or similar discipline.
- Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in a comparable position within the automobile industry, car dealership, fleet management/lease companies, or used car market.
- Demonstrable motor industry experience, ideally in vehicle sales and/or aftersales.
- Strong commercial background with good knowledge of accounting and financial statements (profit and loss account, balance sheet).
- Good knowledge of current relevant IT systems and applications.
- Strong analytical skills; results-driven self-starter with strong initiative.
- Business development experience with the capability to balance short-term and long-term development vs requirements.
