Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in a technical environment.
- Experience with optical and electrical test instrumentation.
- Experience in performing data analysis using JMP, Python, or MATLAB.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
- Experience writing Python scripts for hardware automation, instrument control, or test sequencing and with SQL.
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and automating semiconductor wafer probers and autoloaders.
- Experience in high-volume production semiconductor testing and manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of LED device physics and optoelectronic principles.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable test plans.

Google’s Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Manage and execute daily operations on existing testers, including maintaining statistical process control (SPC), develop new test recipes, and debug hardware/software issues.
- Work closely with the core test Engineering team to develop and implement new features, enhance test methodologies, increase testing throughput, and extract new information streams.
- Drive root-cause analysis for test issues, leverage large datasets to lead improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partner teams (internal customers) to understand their data needs and develop new optical and electrical tests to support device development.
- Perform rigorous data analysis using tools such as JMP, Python, or MATLAB to drive insights and identify trends.
