The role is for the NOC Engineer (UAE National) at Stantec. The role involves working on projects associated with wet infrastructure, including wastewater, stormwater, potable water and recycled water systems, water and wastewater treatment systems, and flood management and water resources management studies.
Responsibilities
- Permitting/NOC applications in UAE
- Coordinating with local authorities and obtaining all project-related NOC/building permits
- Processing company registrations with authorities/developers and service providers and following up qualification procedures
- Attending kick-off and coordination meetings and providing support during construction NOC for site issues
- Reviewing, preparing and submitting NOC applications and ensuring all authority requirements are included to reduce response time and minimize re-submittals
- Managing the progress of drawing work with the technical department
- Information collection, Design NOC and As-Built drawing, GIS updates
- Coordinating with UAE Municipalities, DM, RTA and external stakeholders for Design NOC applications, and reviewing proposals for pipelines and corridors
- Consulting with clients and engineering teams; conducting research for project requirements
- Analyzing survey and field data and preparing reports
- Preparing contract documents and evaluating tenders
- Collaborating as part of a team; working with peer engineers to address design challenges
- Liaising with other discipline teams and teams in other regions to facilitate project tasks
- Liaising with sub-consultants and sub-contractors to facilitate project tasks
- Following safe work practices and adhering to company guidelines and policies
- Completing work in line with Stantec’s Core Values and in accordance with Quality and Health & Safety procedures
- Designing with safety in mind
- Client services and stakeholder management
- Organizing and attending meetings with clients to collect data and discuss technical solutions
- Attending meetings with stakeholders and following up on NOCs for utility corridors
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university
- 3 – 4 years of experience
- Must be a UAE National (required)
- Working knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD & MicroStation
